Loved your vid, I live 20 minutes from Vala’s Pumpkin Patch. I didn’t realize it was that well known. Since you’ll be going to UNL you’ll have to go to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in the fall, and if your mom and sis can’t make it you can make a vid for them. My wife’s cousin has a dairy farm in upstate New York, by the finger lakes. Hoping to go over there to see them this summer, if things don’t calm down we’ll have to wait til next year. Love watching you lady’s doing what you love and helping out on the farm!
It looked like a great trip. I'm sure there was a lot to take in. I happy for you that you have decided to stay with agriculture. The industry needs a younger generation to keep this great industry / lifestyle going. Best of luck. Looking forward to the next video. 🐄🐄🇺🇸
I didnt go to college at k state but seeing aggieville and the road from the airport really brought back some memories from living down there but still a ne kid so glad you checked out both
Congrats on the decision!! Definitely a big choice to make & never an easy one! Hopefully you’ll enjoy it. When I graduated high school in 2018 I was overwhelmed too, ended up just taking some business classes and kept working since I was never good at sitting in class 🤣
Come to the U of I! Great ag school covering nearly all aspects of modern agriculture! Also, Parkland College, the community college across town is partnered with U of I in what they call the pathway program. It allows students to take U of I transferable classes at a community college cost. It's a great and reputable program!
Your parents seem to be awesome fun and crazy like you young ladies. Great video.....JoJo looks great with airplane bed head, lol. Hope your college choice works out for you Claudia.
I Believe you will make a Great Cornhusker. But which ever of these Agriculture Universities you would have chosen You couldn't have gone wrong. God Bless you and your family and God bless the USA
That is awesome we live in ft Calhoun Nebraska which is a hour northeast of Lincoln Nebraska. We have six horses. I do my own hay for them I have three different balers. I hope for the best for you.👍🐂
This is crazy to me. I live a couple miles from valas and Wayne’s wife was one of my teachers in grade school. Such a great family and farm. Never thought I’d see you guys in my home town. Also great choice GBR.
Alway enjoy the video’s Thanks for taking us along wish you all the best in the future with college always enjoy seeing your family in your videos Big fan of y’alls can’t wait for the next new video 😊👍
Just saw your pick! You will love Lincoln! My daughter loves it there. I'm a Husker football season ticket holder but live in South Dakota. Go Big Red!!
Dad graduated from Kansas state with a DVM. And minor in Pre Med. First in his class. Mom from K.S. with teaching degrees . History and home ec First in her class Both came from dairy herd familys in southeast Kansas milking Jerseys in the 20s through the mid 60s.
Lincoln is a great place to go for an ag degree. They have great programs that allow college students to get hands on experience in the field and bring high schoolers along for the ride. They were quite involved in my plant science/agronomy class, and allowed us to help with their research project. It's a great place to go.
What a great family you two have. Again, I just dig your dad and his zany antics. Food, Pizza, Ice Cream and more Food..Big Ten school like my State The Ohio State. Then more food and your Mom seems very nice. Good luck on all your endeavors....
Welcome to Nebraska. UNL is a great school. You’ll enjoy Lincoln, it isn’t a large population city but it has everything you’d want and Omaha is less than an hour away. You’re correct about the difference in feel between city campus and East campus. You have the advantage of a larger university but East campus provides a smaller environment. Fifty plus years ago East campus was called the Ag campus.
Penn state has one of the best programs. You should definitely check that school out. I know a few people that went through their ag program and loved it.
You will like Lincoln Claudia. Lived here since 2001. Grew up in Oskaloosa Iowa. Which is about an hour to and hour and a half from ISU. Was an Iowa fan when younger. But was becoming a Nebraska fan before my parents and family had all moved here.
lucky you got this in before everything was locked down. Also I would recommend Penn State, they have a big AG program and they are surrounded by farms, you will be semi close to home as well if you want to go home quickly at any point.
UNL is a very good school. If you want to focus on the dairy industry Wisconsin has an outstanding dairy program. I watched a segment on the RFD channel about it. Very impressive. Best of luck to you I know you will do great where ever you are.
Lets gooooo!! New Husker fan, also if you didn't know Iowa is kinda our rivals, just started watching your channel a couple of weeks ago (btw I love what you do and the hard work you record and post) and ran across this video. What a coincidence because I go to UNL, not that you will know who I am or might see me but just thought this was pretty cool. Also if you are ever interested there is a country dance ball room right on the edge of Lincoln called Pla mor every sunday night they host a country line and swing dance for $5 if your into that.
@@nyfarmgirls1707 Yes ma'am it is, helps if your college week load is a lot and need to relax a bit. Hope you enjoy UNL, I don't think you will regret it.
So disappointed you didn't even give the Gopher's a chance. Big in ag, multiple campuses. Even the Badgers and the Jackrabbit's deserve mentioning. Well, congratulations on your new school. Nebraska is a great school good luck and happy learning!
Hello! Happened to stumbled across this video and I thought I'd share my experiences with you. I have the unique privilege of attending both UNL and K-State as a student and I've been to every place you showcased in your video with Nebraska and Kansas. I'd urge you to take another look at K-State. I realize everybody is different but I recently graduated from K-State after transferring from UNL and it was a much better fit for many reasons. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about either school. Best of luck!
Use to be stationed at Fort Riley for 5 years. Prob a 10 min drive to k state. Junction City was horrible back then. Good luck on finding a university though.
Wish you wish have posted this video earlier! Hoped you liked THE K-State wildcats and manhattan! Graduated with an agronomy degree in 2017 and just moved back to the little Apple last August!
