What the sales rep told me was the biggest mistake people make with any steam mop is they go too fast over the floor with it. He said you should go really really slowly. Much slower than you would vacuum the floor. 2 reasons for going slow. One being the slower you go the better it kills Bacteria on the floor surface and secondly the slower you go the more the floor heats up. The warmer the floor gets the quicker the floor dries. The heat generated on the floor helps the floor dry faster. What he demonstrated with me was a lot slower than you were going. Like really really slow.
The most important note is to use distilled water only! Regular tap water will cause calcium buildup over time and the unit will stop making steam and or leak.
Thank you so very much for your video demonstration. The user guide doesn't say anything about cleaning the scrubby brush. Thanks for showing how it comes out. Also, the scent disc can be placed in the pocket of the microfiber pad, if you want a stronger scent. I figured that out when I removed the soaked, dirty pad. This is one of the best steam mops I have owned.
First time try and was very pleased with the results. Always had streaks on my tile floors. This was the perfect solution. Thank you for the video. I had to refer to your video to understand how to start it up. 🤗
I just got this mop and it's great! The weird thing is that measuring cup. It looks like it's designed to hook onto the shaft of the mop somehow, but I can't figure it out. Is it supposed to be stored on the shaft?
I seem to have another; maybe newer version of this Bissel Steam mop and I love it. But the problem I have is, when I have to change outlets for example. Then it stands there idle, and twice now I have ruined our black slate tiles in the hallway. Now I have big white spots on them. Same when I am finished. I try to quickly take off that pad, which is very hot, just so the mop can stand there on its own without doing damage to the floor. Any advice where to put the mop while still hot? Thank you very much! :)
Possibly just try to get a small platform with towel layered on it, to try for it to not seap through in the meanwhile🤷🏻♀️ That's all i could think of :/
Mine makes the sound but it doesn't appear to be actually steaming. I understand you don't actually see the steam but my mop is not even damp and the tile shows no sign of dampness.
Make sure you have water in the unit and hold the trigger on the whole time you are using it. It does take a little while for the pump to get water through the system initially maybe 40 seconds.
I was also wondering the same thing, but after doing my research I realized that you won't see the steam coming because it's compressed in the specific location while you're cleaning. Please clean a dirty spot on your floor and let me know if it works.
I would love if someone with a large home to clean and who also has animals to give me their opinion on this mop. The biggest reason I haven't purchased one yet is because I feel that for people whos floors get dusty and dirty really fast, once you take a half a dozen swipes with this type of a mop, the mop pad is now dirty and you have only cleaned a very small portion of your home. I would think if you continued with a dirty pad that you are now just smearing the rest of your floors with wet dirt and dust. Isn't this going to leave your floors streaked with dirt? I would love for anyone with an opinion on this to give me your thoughts and experiences, please and thank you!
My home is only 900square feet. One tank full with the scrubby pad tends to take care of the whole place minus the kitchen and bathroom (I use different pads meant just for those areas) I tend to be low on water at this point. Also, I will go over the whole place again but with the softer pad. Amazing how much the second pass picks up dust and dirt but the second time doesn’t look anywhere NEAR as dirty as the first time. So I know this thing is cleaning. But I would say go slow and do a slight overlap of your path to really take advantage of the disinfecting this machine does. Also… use only DISTILLED WATER or you will be purchasing a new one every time the machine clogs up with calcium build up. And one final note: vacuum your floor every time before use. Otherwise everything you mentioned will happen and I have 2 dogs who’re inside and my chihuahua sheds like crazy. Even when she happens to need to go outside and I’m about to mop I will vacuum the area she crossed again. Hope this helps. Happy cleaning!
Use a dust mop first through the floors then use the steam mop. So the steam mop is cleaning everything it needs to, that's not also to pick up dust particles.

can you add floor cleaning solution to the distilled water
Can you use on LVT
Thanks
I had to purchase this device I love it but it always stop working each time
It’s a great machine, but it could even be greater if it could be CORDLESS. Like the Dyson vaccum cleaner.
I fully agree with you 🙂
All you use is distilled water and the scent disk? You dont put anything else on the floor (floor cleaner)?
Exactly:)

Just one myself an it had water in the reservoir and an no dampness on pad. POS
It makes that clicking noise all the time?
Mine doesn’t have an on/ off button, you need to plug it in to begin.
Mine does not make any noise.
Steam won't come out of my mop.. did you have to push a button? I hear the noise but nothing comes out.

I just got this mop for Christmas and it makes that knocking noise. It isn't supposed to do that. I am returning it.
Return it it’s a garbage product

@@esaflaka9155 I would give my floors a real good vacuum first. I think that be sufficient, you agree?
I’m going to have to upgrade from my Shark.
It's definitely worth it:)
Very Good!... #40 {4-29-2024}
the tattoos though lol
It shouldn’t be making that noise.
I should hope not! That’s crazy!
Product is garbage , keeps making a knocking noise and steam flow stops and starts, there isn’t a constant flow of steam
It’s so noisy
