This is a fantastic video!! Others show it being used as they speak about how nice it is never explaining how to use it properly, but YOU explain how the button selection works, and that the handle controls the steam.... that is what I was having issues with, hearing the steam only occassionally, without realizing I must not be squeezing the handle all the time! Geeze!! I thought I had a defective unit! LOL I also had issues the first time getting the head to snap back on the unit and STAY on it! I found that by stepping lightly on both ends of the mop head after getting it aligned, it secures it properly.--- Thumbs up!!
Umm I used the steam function without the pad. Is that wrong? I even did some vacuuming with the steam function, without the pad. I'm not fond of the pads because it just seems to be a lot of effort in pushing. When I used the steam function without the pad, it did clear up my spots on the floor without using the vacuum function. I thought maybe this wasn't right so I wanted to watch a how to video. But you didn't use the steam function without the pad so I still don't know if I'm ruining my product or not. I may ask Bissell. However from this video I found out I could raise and lower the handle!

if its laminate that you are cleaning, direct steam might warp it or cause damage. If its stone or ceramic, i am sure it will be fine
