@@stephen1r2 Once AR is active and it gets ~70 s ish you can just throw torps out to try your luck and get them back fairly quickly And with heals + short burst smokes it's less dangerous to play in-close compared to other torpbotes, where smokes have long CD and any hull damage is permanent. Short-burst smokes means you can also just fish for floods and then set them ablaze afterwards
Just use Z-52 with leg mod and AP round captain perk with the 3 point reload on a full top build. 10km, fast torps, better torp stealth, and those AP rounds shread slightly angled DDs
There is a hide Midori gamemode somewhere in there. Like get a full team of smoke Minos to hide Midori. The other teams is full Kleber and has to ram him to death. Minos win if they manage to get him to/past a certain point.
Imagine two leg mod minos and a radar mino in a div and the two leg minos alternate their smokes while rader spots and they all alternate their hydros while moving at 1/4 speed in the smoke they'll be unstoppable!!!!
Problems is tier 10 is clogged with Radar, smoke mino kinda sucks in general for this reason. Stalingrad and Petro can just decide that you stop playing comrade

Try a test with a Division of the Minotaur with Legendary smoke mod, Schliefen secondary build, and a DD with low concealment (maybe a hydro too). Let the DD spot, and the Minotuar smoke and The Schliefen can go undetected in the smoke using secondaries. Just can't use the Schliefen main gun.
You can kinda do this with the Harugumo as well with the legendary mod + smoke generator mod. 1 + consumable enchancements + x-ray papaunaone and your smoke action time is 65 second and depression time is 119 second. Additionally if you run engine boost mod. 1 your engine boost action time is 171 seconds, and legmod on Harugumo gives 1 more consumable, with superintendent you can boost the number up to 5 for all consumables LOL
I don't use Mino Leg Mod often as I do usually run radar, but this I'm curious to have a go at, it basically gives Mino a Super Crawling Smoke, which if used right can be a very powerful tool.
I think that with this long-lasting of smoke, you might be able to use it like multiple consecutive RNDD smokes. Camp a bit, fire, move out, spot, camp when you need more cover. With a 1:40 duration, that just might work.
There is a arrow on your speed indicator when deploying smoke that allows you to see the maximum potential speed of your ship without getting detected now. For mino it appears to be between 1/4 and 1/2 so you could feather the prop and go about 10 or 11 knots.
Now imagine it with the old skill that would have made the smoke bubbles huge... would have been such a meme... Also imagine: radar DD (Black, PADD LegMod Mino and some sort of secondary BB... memes.

Flamu the little arrow next to your speed tells you the max speed you can go in smoke without getting detected. When you go above your speed tape goes orange.

Sooooo, would a division of a Malta, Legendary Mino, and a Paolo Emili-yolo be one of the, if not the, most cancerous divisions ever? I mean really any carrier with a legendary Mino and Paolo Emili-yolo. Use the Paolo to advance and cover the Mino while their cooldown is going and then use the Mino's smoke fort to just camp wherever and have the CV be a CV. The only thing worse than that that I could think of would be a Kitakami, Shimakaze, and Legendary Mino division. All smoke, all torps, all cancer.

There's already the Schliefen + Napoli combo that is quite powerful in some games.

Yep. Div Schliff (second)+Mino (smoke)+Shima (spotting/torp spam). That won't be annoying at all.
If you play with the Throttle you can go up to 12 knots before braking out of your smoke screen. Just have to flip between 1/2 and 1/4 speed.
