What is the difference between grayscale intensity vs luminance from YCbCr?

A 3-channel RGB image can be converted to a 1-channel grayscale image using a particular weighting of the three color channels (there are many possible weightings). The luminance channel (Y) of an RGB to YCbCr converted image is simply another weighting of the RGB channels. There is no "correct" conversion here and I use both grayscale or luminance conversions.

Thank you@@hanyfarid5019 . I experimented both, turned out they have very similar variance, some of them are even exact match, so I kept only grayscale for easier explanation
