    Out of Indiana here. Boy do I appreciate this video. I bought my 2011 NH 450U used 2 years ago and consistently have to hit cancel/reset after each bale, because of of the error code It displays. It works just fine so I ignored the error. I now know I need to adjust that potentiometer. Thanks a bunch.

    Out of Texas, i use Vermeer wrap on my new holland baler and I’ve put over 10k bales on that machine. Highly recommend!

      I couldn’t get Vermeer wrap to work right on that baler. Maybe the knife was dull? Used Tama/JD wrap and never had problems

    Thank you for your info on this baler I’m looking at purchasing one only without the net wrap. I’m like you about buying a new one they are very expensive new. Your video is helpful to me. The basic design of this baler is very much like my new Holland 630. 630 is a very basic and plain machine.

    Real nice looking round baler! Smart idea to get a net wrap option on it. Most people in our area just use twine. The net wrap seems to help when it comes time to sell the bales and store them. New Holland makes a darn good baler! Hopefully, this will not be an exception. Good luck and God bless - Everett

    We use a older case Rbx453 and it has been a great baler so far.

    Nice baler Chris. I think you got a great deal. I can't afford new. Bought a used John Deere 14T for less than $2000. Wanted a New Holland but keep getting out bid on them. I always have a set price in my head I'm willing to pay and don't go over it.

      Thank you. Good luck with the 14T. You can’t go wrong with Deere.

    That monitor should sit in a reflective safety triangle bracket, also on the back of the monitor on that hook there should have been a few pages with error icons and diagnostics

    Thanks for the review, it looks really nice. Bigger gaps between the belts then the bigger balers, does it wrap hay around the rollers bad?

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have not noticed any hay getting wrapped up around any rollers. But if you don’t slow the pto rpm down when starting a bale, it will carry hay up the belts and it will build up there in the front up top.

  • @dustinpulver3376

    To me the inside bale chamber looks like it hasn’t had to much more then that iv put a lot of hay through these balers it looks like it did quite a bit of off tracking to me judging by the sides of the belts if u take the sheet metal off the back of the back of the baler you’ll see the metal belt guiding tabs I’d bet you they show some wear on them by the shape of them belts in my experience that has been what caused that much fraying to the sides of the belts

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Makes sense because the rest of the baler doesn’t show that kind of wear like it’s had a lot of bales threw it. I’m going to take a look at that. Thank you

      @@CenTexAg Awesome ok... I have a 2014 rb450u just like yours.(just a bit older) Had a hard time finding them but I have them now. Just wanted to make sure you didn't need them. Your correct on the bale count.. if you have to manually wrap and dump, that bale will not be counted.

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the offer. I found the manual for the baler off new Holland’s website for free but paid $30 for the bale monitor manual. Still worth it because it was hard to figure out the calibrations without it.

    You mean that you have to baby the baler when you start a bale? My son put is city slicker wife in the seat of a 7230 with a Deere 459 silage special, and she baled over 250 bales one afternoon......2nd time on a tractor in her life...... Got a video to prove it...."New Holland Rake, (By the way. which is made for New Holland by Sitrex) Feeding 2 John Deere balers"

      Jd does make a good baler, but the micro penis jd underwear crowd is so annoying, I have neighbors like you. If I took a shit in a jd bowl you'd lap it up and tell me it's the best soup you ever had.

    New Holland makes a good round baler....... But Deere has them beat when it comes to the Net Wrap system......

      Got 2 459 silage specials a 460M and a 460R never have used Baby Powder........ Buy 53in Cover- Edge Net Wrap by the 16 roll pallet,,,,,,,,,,While you are struggling to get the roll from the back to the front,,,,,,,,,My Grandmother, has already dropped the roll from storage to the feeder tray, removed the wrapper and threaded the tail closed the cover and hobbling back to the tractor...........Krone also has the front system ........ Bummer

      @@farmingforfunandprofit940 there's a certain % of you deere guys that are all the same. Wow sounds like your the neighborhood big shot, half dozen jd round balers and grandma loading your netwrap

    • @farmingforfunandprofit940

      OH no no,,,,,,, There are bigger fish in the pond, than us, it's just we seem to have over the last 6 years figured out where the real money is in growing and especially Selling hay......In our area a 4x5 round bale of horse quality sells for about $85.00.... that same bale converted into small squares $168,00...... So if you can cultivate a steady outlet.... you can invest...... The grandma in my comment was a barb to show how quick and easy it is to change the rolls.......Correct me if i'm wrong,,,,,, but that roll of net wrap in the pictured NH baler resembles the wrap developed for use in John Deere balers.......If you doubt that they are what they are........ you are invited to come and drive the Rake tractor trying to stay ahead of 2 JD balers........They will give you a 6 windrow headstart....... Get a drink of water and take a piss...... that might be the last time your feet touch the ground the rest of the day (90 acres, 555 bales in 6 hours) average raking speed 12mph... average baler speed 9 mph....

      @@farmingforfunandprofit940 so jd makes a good baler. The ignorance/arrogance of thinking cause it's green and has a cartoon picture decal it's somehow far superior then nh or any brand is just stupid. We run half deere including discbine have ran jd balers both have their good and bad attributes, nh is faster are old baler we go 9mph bale every 40s, new model only limited by gopher mounds. You deere guys who are blinded by green paint and have no resemblance in reality is 1 reason I don't own more, I have neighbors who act exactly the same way like 4yo kids
