Ever notice how whenever black women experience trauma we put a time stamp on when their trauma should last. She is not responsible for how long the courts take to come to a conclusion. We are the only ones who are expected 'shut up' for our trauma. Interviewers constantly question her and she is damned if she do or damned if she don't.
This is a fact. If black women talk about our trauma (or anything that has bothered us for that matter) we are seen as a nuisance. Basically, the message is: "Your trauma and discomfort are inconveniencing me, so please be quiet."

I agree and I think this stems from the system of slavery. How we as black people have been endocrinized to feel subhuman. She's gonna be suffering from PTSD for the rest of her life.
Black American women aren't allowed to express our hurt and frustration on what happens to us. We're not seen as feminine beings. However, women of races and ethnicities are allowed and encouraged to express their trauma and hurt.
@Jessica Megan is a rising star and interviews come with that. If she declines to comment then people will say she's a liar, so it doesn't matter. The point is a black woman's trauma and pain are always silenced, even in healthcare. Secondly we always throw sexuality on black women way to often. Regardless of what she talks about in her music,, we don't know this woman personally. Meg said she wasn't sexual with Tory, Tory said they were sexual, and then the misogyny kicks in and everyone believes the man. The same man charged with shooting her??? Lastly who cares about their bedroom business, doesn't give him the right to shoot her.
I really love the way the commentary is given with grit, humor and passion. As far as Russell Wilson, I hope he continues to be excellent and love his family out loud. Unfortunately, when one person seems to possess every strength, some people can't celebrate that part.

She had ample time if not on the scene to say that she was harmed and I work in the health field when you are shot and have to go in to the hospital for treatment the police are called they have to get a statement. I have gone to Fixins twice and enjoyed it. My last time there Kevin was so kind (I didn’t even realize who he was..lol). My daughter was in a cast and we were seated immediately and he lovingly showed us to the bathroom and cleared our way.

Dave already said he's done putting it in his standup in his last special. Mainly because, he never meant to make this topic the focus but there's some things he wanted to address. In all fairness, Dave comes for everyone's neck in an effort to use humor to engage with contemporary topics. I'm a black woman...he's come for us his whole career. But that's the thing...he's not coming for anyone. He's telling jokes. He's a comedian. We're all going to clutch our pearls when it comes to Dave Chappell. That's the main feature of satirical comedy. Dave is a satirical comic.
A lot of people including Q didn't even watch the special. Just ran with the outrage. He told an entire story about his friend. No one discusses that. He speaks on many things.

Re mexican laborers: Back in the day black men did the work of construction, home building, carpentry, etc., the first jobs they could get post slavery. Immigrants came later, undermining black laborers, by doing same work for lower, unlivable wages driving black men out of the profession.

I have hired Mexican workers for landscaping, mechanic work and work of all types on my home. Very affordable and punctual and happy for the work. So I understood Boosie’s comment.

My exact thoughts. Despite her making the network upset with her not returning or whatever else she was doing behind the scenes, fans of the show deserved better. It didn’t need a host for this finale episode, or if it did it could have been Susan and the other guy replaying memorable moments and simply honoring Wendy etc. I also read an article that mentioned that her wigs and chair are being tossed out. Like come on, y’all can’t ship that to her or her management at least?

I was almost molested my freshman year of college, dude used a dime to unlock the bathroom door while I was taking a shower, he trapped me in the bathroom and to this day it still bothers me and that was in ‘05… I’m finally getting therapy and taking meds for this, in addition to other trauma, so I can’t imagine what Megan is going through and I refuse to tell her to suffer in silence… if you’re tired of listening to her, change the station… i was quiet for way too long and that 💩 hurts!!

In the Gayle King interview, they literally showed the text her ex-friend sent to security stating “Help, Torey shot Meg.” How is that not mentioned? She’s traumatized, and being accused of lying - that’s why she’s still talking - and she says he keeps getting the trial delayed.

Dave Chappelle speaks on everything and I have listened to all his specials. Not once have I heard him say something specifically anti-Trans, but he HAS pointed out some funny things and he has pointed out some of the hypocrisy in that everyone must accept them but they dont try to accept or meet people halfway who are trying to meet them halfway e.g...the outrage over pronouns....yes it's important, but it’ll take time for everyone to be on board and remember everything….... then there's the constant comparison of race issues as not as important as LGBTQ issues even though they are making way more strides in a few years that black people have tried to make in hundreds of years. Far as I see Dave comes for everyone, and Claudia is right, of course he will focus on what is more topical at the time. Well LGBTQ make sure they stay in the headlines with their agenda so ....Q if they are still headlining the next time his special comes out he'll probably talk about them again.

We have perpetuated the stereotype of Mexicans being the only group willing to work hard, and this has hurt other ethnicities who are willing and able to work just as hard -- if not harder. Do black men not work hard? Do Asian men not work hard? Do middle easterners not work hard? Mexicans are not the only ones who hard. This stereotype has shut a lot of men out of opportunities, who have families to provide for. Other men work hard also.

Dave Chapelle has a career that spans over DECADES and he has only recently spoken about the trans community. There is a double standard when it comes to that community and it’s problematic. His legacy will be that he was unapologetic and shared his views.
I’m not sure what time frame is considered “recent” but TheCloser… his recent special… was not his first obsession with us. I believe the double standard comes from black folks not accepting/killing transgender women (notice I said accepting instead of understanding because us black folks are not dumb). But yes he is unapologetic, he does share his views, and will always be relevant whether folks think he’s good or evil…kinda like hitler. I mean…dave got folks saying “lbgt” instead of “lgbt”. But yuh this is America, the oppressed needs someone to oppress unfortunately.

Okay but what if was a stereotype that wasn't so positive but degrading of the Mexican community? Stop giving people's ignorance a pass.
