I think he’s planning the long game. Waiting for Tina to see how trash Jimmy Jr. is to her so he can jump in.
He respects her boundaries, he listens and knows her interests, he has a cute nickname for her BASED off of a comment she made about an eagle.
Jimmy junior plays with her emotions, wanted to take her to a DRUGSTORE for a date, makes fun of her behind her back…
Yeah Zeke is the better option.
He offered to take Tina to the aquarium and get tacos when Jimmy Jr. could only think of the drugstore. Now that's commitment.

Yup. I like to imagine Tina becoming a freelance writter while Zeke and Louise take over the restaurant. Louise manages it into small but respectable franchise and Zeke is incharge of the original store plus has the honor of creating the burger of the month. Burger of the day would be too difficult for a franchise.... and Gene is a famous producer of course, a Lin Manuel type. They were able to expand due to Gene's financial contribution. Tina and Gene's work sometimes overlap with Tina helping him with scripts, ans Zeke would cater during production.
I would like point out that Zeke offers to take her to the aquarium, a place we find out in later seasons has a great significance to Tina :)
And the touch tank is her favorite part of it, too💖💖

I thought it was a crackship when I first heard that people want Tina and Zeke together, but honestly Jimmy Jr is a jerk and only ever stringing her along and Zeke is like never mean to her, so
I love Zeke so much. At first you think that he’s going to be a jerk and a bully because of his design. But like most of bobs burgers chapters, he’s just so unapologetically himself.

@@Yoshiotode in that episode where josh invites tina to his dance rehearsals and he gets injured, I don't remember the season but it might be one of the later ones
i loved these two and this dynamic.. its a little sad that they seem to have dropped or forgotten about this arc in newer seasons
I can only hope with the potential firing of Jimmy Pesto's actor we'll be getting LESS of the Pestos in general in favor of more anyone else like Zeke...

I like how in the episode with the dance both parents told her to choose the guy who clearly wasn't stringing her along (Josh).
