Beautiful, after watching this, I had to have a go even if it was midnight here in Scotland. I just had these moulds delivered this week and found some pens and pastel coloured plastic straws in the cupboard, fingers crossed it works for me 😊
Hello. I just received my pen molds., im excited about following this tutorial. What font style did you use? I have a cricut, creative fabrica app and i use da font.
Did you use just resin or epoxy to do the pens and at the end to fill them i use to make them with epoxy. i would love to use just resin. beautiful pen i am excited to use the straws the ink always just floated up tysm
Now that I have the pens, I'm having trouble finding the correct straws. The coffee stirrers are too small and the clear straws that I got from Amazon are a little too big. What straws do you suggest that I get (i.e.: size)? Thanks again.
I'll record a video on how to make holes smaller or bigger when I get a chance. I typed down a long explanation to your comment around 2 weeks ago, but I think I didn't hit the send button. That's why my reply is missing 🤦♀️
I use 99% isopropyl alcohol. I also use a heat gun on larger surfaces. If you let your resin sit for at least 10 mins after mixing and before pouring, most bubbles will raise and pop.
I use my cricut maker machine to cut vinyls for letterings and silhouettes. They are vinyls with glue on the other side, so easily stick on cured resin and seal with clear resin. Hope this helps!
I have no idea what's the diameter of the hole is. I took my refill pen to compare and luckily, there was one open package so I checked it and it was perfect.
Thanks so much 🙏 Please I am from Nigeria, how can I get all the items you used? Can I get them from jumia? And please can you list the names of the materials you used 🙏
I purchased my pen silicone molds with refills and caps from Amazon. The refills are 5.5 inches, but the tip is so much smaller than the straw. You do show that there is a way to make the hole in the straw larger. Is there a way that I can make the hole smaller? What do you suggest?
If you make a hole smaller, still those reffill won't work in straw. Those reffill don't have support on tip which holds them in straw. You have to buy Bic brand pens and take the reffill out from the pens. Bic pens come in different colours.
Thank you 😊 On these pens, I have used gold textured vinyl, which I cut on my cricut machine. If you have a cricut or silhouette machine, you'll understand what I meant.
I use transfer tape. I buy from Alison on FB. Sometimes, I use masking tape as well. It also works well. Check my instagram, I have done a short video on masking tape. Hope it helps 🙏
They are normal drinking straws. I bought from local store. When you buy make sure to buy clear ones not the colour ones and not too wide so refill tip can fit. Thank you 😊
When I use blue tack in straw, I cut straw little bit more so silicone nib doesn't reach the end of straw and back get covered with resin. When I don't use blue tack in back of straw, I make sure straw cut exact same size of mold so the silicon nib fits inside. When you do second way and back stays open which is visible from the end. Hope you what I meant 😊
can i please ask where you got the moulds the refils and the inserts from please, ive been searching for them today after watching your tutorial the other day and cannot find them anywhere x
I got molds from Aliexpress, straw for for inserts I bought from my local store and refills I use are from normal pens. The one comes in yellow packaging from Asda or Wilko. They sell as 10 in a pack in black, blue and red colours. I'm on holidays right now, so I can't send you a pic of packaging. Send me a message on instagram or on my FB page Pouring Some Love. I'll send you picture of the packaging when I get back from the holidays. Xx
Sorry, I didn't see your comment 🤦♀️ the pens are available in all supermarkets, WH Smith and Wilko and other stationery storesThey come 10 in yellow packaging. The brand is BIC Cristal Original. Thank you 😊
I truly appreciate your quick responses. I was able to find the Bic Cristal Ballpoint Pens and remove the refill. I'll be working on it this weekend. Thanks so much!
If you cut the exact size of the mold, they will. When you place them in mold, they are very secure at the top end because of the narrow end, but the bottom has to touch the end properly. The middle one was tiny bit short so I had to push it down. Also be careful around the straw when you try to remove bubbles from the front end, the straw could get moved. I still mess up sometimes. It does need a lot of practice but once you gets used with straw part, it's very easy and fun to make. The wider pen mold ones are very easy to make because the both ends gets secure properly. Square pens are very popular for selling though! Hope this explanation helps! 💖

Sorry, for some reason, I missed your comment. I've just seen it now. The diameter is between 0.4 cm and 0.5 cm. It's not exactly either of them. If you have bigger or smaller, it's still works. Before placing straw in mold, put the refill in and heat straw with lighter. Just be careful not to heat too much. Once it's warm up, for smaller hole - push the reffil up to make bigger and for bigger hole - roll between your finger to make it small but make sure you have refill in. After this, take the refill and you place in mold to make refillable resin pens. Hope the explanation helps 😊🙏
I admire your work and appreciate the time you take to reply to every question . Keep up the good work ❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏

It may need a little practice but don't give up, please. Play around it and have a fun 😉 💖💖
Success with 1 after a bit of tweaking, the resin leaked into the pen end of the other, pity as they do look beautiful & shimmer
Can you tell me what kind of refills you used and where you got them?
They are reffills from BIC Crystal pens. Widely available in all supermarkets and stationery stores.
This is beautiful
Thank you for the video
Thank you for watching 😊

Hello. I just received my pen molds., im excited about following this tutorial. What font style did you use? I have a cricut, creative fabrica app and i use da font.
I use Joseph Sophia. Good luck with your project 👍
I greet you from Azerbaijan. Please tell me, are the pens disposable? Is it possible to make sure that they are not disposable?
They are reusable.
Did you use just resin or epoxy to do the pens and at the end to fill them i use to make them with epoxy. i would love to use just resin. beautiful pen i am excited to use the straws the ink always just floated up tysm
I have epoxy resin. Thank you 😊

Tell me which thing u use for bubbles busting. When I make the transparent things to many bibles r shown on top of the product which I make .

@@PouringSomeLove can you choose where i can buy machine like this?
Nuce job. Do you have a tutorial on how to make mold holder with plastic knives?
Sorry, I don't 😞 Thank you for your comment, though 😊💖
Brilliant. Straws come in different sizes. What size is the hole please?😊
I have no idea what's the diameter of the hole is. I took my refill pen to compare and luckily, there was one open package so I checked it and it was perfect.
I have explained in the video how you can make a little bigger for the refill head if it's a small hole. Hope it helps!
Your pens are beautiful! How can you make the letters without a Cricut?
You can write names using acrylic or posca pens. Let it dry before sealing with a clear layer of resin.
Thanks so much 🙏
Please I am from Nigeria, how can I get all the items you used? Can I get them from jumia? And please can you list the names of the materials you used 🙏
Also .... are you drilling and putting the eye pin through the blu tack?
Eye pin is drilled through on the side where the resin, not on blue tack.

Is there any other way to use lettering other than circuit machine
Thank you so much 🙏
Please can i get the materials you used from jumia?
And what are the names of the materials 🙏
Sorry, I don't understand what you meant. All the products I use are listed in the description box.
Please whats the name of the tape you used to remove the names from the paper 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

May I ask you the link ?
They are normal drinking straws. I bought from local store. When you buy make sure to buy clear ones not the colour ones and not too wide so refill tip can fit. Thank you 😊

Does the nib or the plastic tip on the mould go into the b tack?

What is the name of the pen that you use to refill

Do you buy the Bic Cristal Pens and pull the stick out of its casing? I ask because the refills have been discontinued.
Yes, get the reffill out from the pens and use it in resin pens.
I truly appreciate your quick responses. I was able to find the Bic Cristal Ballpoint Pens and remove the refill. I'll be working on it this weekend. Thanks so much!
Do the refills stay in the pen very well? They look very loose.

What to do if you keep changing this pan after refilling repeatedly and the pipe inside becomes loose?
How can straw get loose when it is surrounded by hard cured epoxy resin?
Did you leave in the bluetack at the back?
If it's too visible, I take it off. Otherwise, leave it on

I want this refill link,😢
I buy from stationery stores or supermarkets.
I make resin pen but the pen is not working I don't know what's the mistake I do if you know kindly please tell me
Did you leave the hole in the top of the pen or did you fill it in?
If you are using refill straight in resin when it gets blocked from the end, it doesn't work. Some refill needs airflow to work properly.
@@PouringSomeLove but I use tape at the end of refill that the resin not enter in the refill
Air is blocked, that's why. Some ink prefer to have air circulation. They don't work when the air is blocked with the resin or tape.
@@PouringSomeLove Is there is difference between ball point refill or other refill ink?
How much for one pen for sale
I sell personalised pen for £8
Where do we get that pen refiller
I take the refill out from BIC Crystal brand pens and use them.
U used 2:1 or 3:1
I use 1:1 epoxy resin for almost everything. I use 2:1 only for deep pour. Thank you 😊
I have a couple of pen molds but they (of course) came with no directions...Thanks for the great guidance!
