Bless you big! I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why my pens were not turning out right, way too much sanding and I needed to be able to multitask while they were curing. I was putting the uv resin on them like a tumbler. THIN COATS IS LIFE! 😅 and the way you rigged your lamp….genius! Thank you for this tutorial!
Thanks for this. You can add a mirror under the turner when curing the pens - it doubles the Uv light and cuts down on time and makes sure all the angles are cured. Hope this helps.
Lysha great tutorial!! I would get yourself a UV flashlight also. Its great you can hit it with the flashlight for just a couple seconds to secure in place then you can go under the lamp for a full cure. Comes in handy when you just need to secure it for a second when doing more than one pen!
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! I love how descriptive you are. Some people are very vague. Forgive me if I miss this , but where do you get your little pen holder that you stick the dowel inside of while you are working on others
1st time viewer, forever subscriber! I loved your video, it's so detailed! I've tried these and failed and your video showed me areas where I went wrong! Thank you! 🥰🌵🥰
Oh my goodness love thank you so much! I truly hope you enjoy my tutorials and so happy you were able to use this one to help you with your UV glitter pens!
Love your video. Question, how big are the rings you got? I purchased sines but it’s seems like they are to big. Also my pen did not cure in the first round.
I bought the large ones, they should be linked in the description ❤️ if you hav an issues send me an email at lyshabcreative@gmail.com and I can send you the direct link
I do encourage sanding in the beginning for prep for better adhesion of your resin. And in between layers after you have a few layers on as you might notice your layer being thick on one side or the other or to sand down poking glitter
Do you need to purchase a bunch of different spray paint colors that match the glitter you are using in order to get full coverage or can i just purchase a black and white spray paint?
Nope having spray paint to match is not necessary. Many times you can get great glitter coverage with just doing two coats of glitter OR using acrylic paints as your base color
@@lyshabcreative2659 Thank you for getting back to me!! I literally walked out of Michael's craft store when you responded. I did buy acrylic paint too.
Any uv lamp used for nails in a salon is perfect I wpuld say at least a 120 watt lamp or higher. The only ones I would avoid are those little dinky ones that sometimes come in a bundle with UV resin they aren’t strong enough in my opinion
Crafting is meant to be fun so don’t stress. And believe me there are plenty of projects I have tried that just haven’t been my thing and that’s ok too ❤️.

I was watching your video again :) question after you rolled ur glitter pen on the parchment paper did you put it under the UV light or did you go right into putting the resin on?
Oh no! Have you tried the water hack? You lightly cure under your lamp then submerge your pen in a glass cup surrounded by foil and cure with yourUV lamp from the top or exposed side of the glass. I have tried it and it does seem to work!

Sweet pens. Loved the tutorial. Gonna attempt to make pens My next adventure. Lol
Yay! Glad you loved the tutorial. Pens can be lots of fun to make I hope you enjoy creating them

Yes!!! A mirror works so well!!!
also if you want stronger curing, usually the 120 seconds is a low heat function so curing nails won't burn. 90 sec is stronger
Awesome tutorial! Love the charms being added. Thank you for sharing with us.
You are so welcome!
Loved your tutorial.🥰
Thank you so much
Is the toggles the small size on Amazon to hold the charms on the pen? Beautiful work!!!
Love them, I am on my way to hobby lobby to try this out. Thanks

Hi there! Thank you so much for watching! The little pen down holder I got from truquality designs
I heard that if you place a mirror under your UV lamp 🔦 it helps with the curing
Wow haven’t heard that before I’ll def have to try that!
@@lyshabcreative2659 especially if you are using translucent molds it helps with all over cure ,instead of having to turn mold over for total cure

Do you cure a layer of resin before adding another layer to add glitter? Or just first layer add glitter and cure?
I did the uv resin then went right into glitter before I did the first cure, then carried on with another coat of uv resin
They’re beautiful. Love them!!!
They came out so cute! Thank you

IS the sanding a completely necessary step? And why?
I do encourage sanding in the beginning for prep for better adhesion of your resin. And in between layers after you have a few layers on as you might notice your layer being thick on one side or the other or to sand down poking glitter
can you refill the pen with pen refills
Yes you can! These pens are refillable with the ink joy replacement or similar inks you can get on amazon
Where did you fund the jump rings
Found them on Amazon! All are linked in my storefront

Is there a UV Lamp that you would suggest not getting over the one like you use in video

@@lyshabcreative2659 the one you suggested come in two watts - 168 and 180. Is the stronger the better?

Love this video! What wattage is your uv lamp? Your link let’s me choose byeeem 168w and 180w
Mine is the 168w one! Works amazing!
Where do you get the rings for the charms?
I grabbed everything from Amazon!
What size of toggle did you use
I bought the silver small ones
What size are the rings that you attached to the top on the gel pen where the clicker is?
I ordered the large ones!
Hove ur pens!!! How long do you wait after you spray paint?
Hi there! Thank you so much!
Typically I wait maybe 10-15 minutes and the paint is usually dry
@@lyshabcreative2659 thank you 😊

UV light and then start adding your other coats of UV resin over top
Is your lamp 168 w or 180 w?
I have a 168w lamp
Ahhh! I tried this and my resin stayed sticky and never cured right :(

I used the same contraption with the boxes to do my UV Resin. 😀
