DC drive me agar 6 thyristor hain to wo single quadrant drive hogi.lekin external Contactor use karke agar field ya armature ki polarity reverse kar de to 3 rd quadrent me bhi chal sakti hai. agar 12 thyristor wali DC drive hai to wo 4 Quadrant drive hai. and most of the AC drives are 4 Quadrant.
