Wilfred is OP on brutal-multiplayer. He heals so much while you have to dodge his wolf-phantoms and need to kill his "food" before he gets them. Nobody wants to fight him anymore. And the fact that I get around 200 or 400 damage from those explosions from time to time is insane. Till the barrrel-guy every other boss was more or less a piece of cake.

In Dundley there us also an iron cave in the middle of the map. You do have to be careful about what you hit as the golems will mess you up if you disturb them. But it's actually easy to get a fair amount of iron quickly, and the castle plot next to it is in the middle of a lot of V blood locations. In PvE i find it one of the best spots for a primary base since it's got access to so many areas in a convenient way, even if you don't turn off teleporting with resource restrictions.
I'm playing this with a friend & we have bunch of questions: 1. How does the ruleset work in public servers? Can they be modified to, for example, decrease crafting time or increase crafting resources mined? 2. This guide is focused on optimizing/speedrunning to basically endgame so you're ahead of other clans for PvP, but how does this work in a few weeks? My friend & I are doing a private PvE server because we wanted learn the game first before we try PvP - can we jump into a public PvP server later on or will everyone be ultra OP? Thanks!
Early access player here! I'll gladly answer those inquires (: 1. Regarding the ruleset, now in 1.0 it can be modified at any time by the host, simply load game (instead of pressing continue) and select the private server that you are playing with your friend, you will see an option that allows you to modify the rules of said server. And like you mentioned, yes you can decrease the crafting time, increase the amount of recourses you get, modify the difficulty, the length of the day, the decay of the castle... basically you can modify almost everything to your liking, so give it a go! 2. In terms of PvP, my friends and I never touched it because it's usually like the video shows, speedrunning to get strong as soon as possible. Even tho most players will be OP like you said, it won't be impossible to catch up to them, since to my knowledge most of them stick in Silverlight Hills and now probably will be staying in Mortium too. So it's unlikely that high level players will be stalking on players that just started in Farbane. This of course is not my own experience, it's only out of things I read on forms and seen on videos, and it's prone to change since I'm talking about pre 1.0 PvP behavior. Of course, you can always search for a server that focuses on long term PvP, like you said so it takes weeks and not just a day to reach endgame. They are not common but I remember seeing a few last year that encouraged longplay instead of speedrunning, so try looking for one in the servers list or even somewhere in Discord! Sorry for the long answer but hopefully I was able to answer you! 😅
2. lots of public servers have regular scheduled "wipes". Maybe every week or month they reset everything and everyone gets to start fresh again. they do this because the race to end-game is the most fun part for a lot of people. Even if you don't find a server that has wiped recently, its very unlikely everyone is maxed out already on ANY server. There will always be people starting late that you can compete and fight with in the early game. It goes like this: -> Server wipes -> server fills up with people racing -> the fast people reach end game and fight/seige for a while -> those people get bored and go find a new server -> server has open territories again -> new players join and start another wave of competition -> repeat until the next wipe
7:04 my gear level is 55 right now, and i dont see anything available to me to make it 56, what might i be missing? Ive been trying to beat octavian for a couple days now but i just cant get him down, maybe the 1 gear level would make the difference.
@@gravity00xthe private server and dedicated server works the same as in ark. Public servers have pvp / pve, different rates, wipes, and rules. It works a lot like ark.
@LegacyGamingUS no dude the plot u want is shaped like an L to the right side of the den. Puts u right in the middle of all beginning bosses, patrolling bosses and the random cart goes right by your front door and usually gets wrecked by the alpha wolf or chaos archer and it's free loot.
we are playing on a private server where all the bosses have +3 lvl to their original lvl, plus brutal, it is really hard to kill them, u are saying so fast kill this one kill that one my brain hurts)))))))

Quite some inaccuracies here, Alpha wolf spawns in east wolf den when server goes live not, the south west one. Rushing Copper without a base is often not possible since the starter weapons can’t damage copper. You’d have to get a lucky drop for this strategy to work.
And yet, we consistently dominate servers with this strat…strange. The whole point of the copper rush is using Errol to break nodes, not using your weapons
Seeing that this is a speed build to dominate a server when I play many games across all platforms. This is a quick refund. Shame I was looking to chill build a castle and work my way up the vampire ladder and learn cool moves.
You don't have to play on pvp servers. There are coop servers and you can always just play solo in your own private world. So many ways to play the game.
Tbf since this update has come out ive been chilling in my pve server enjoying the game and not stressing about anything until i feel up and ready for the challenge
@@LegacyGamingUS is there any impact to dying in pvp? I dont mind taking a little longer to get competitive as long as my progress is not constantly wiped by pvp losses because i'm undergeared.
If you are talking about PvE, we agree which is why we said this is catered more toward PvP. The endgame and constant fighting/raiding of PvP is incredibly fun.
just cant enjoy this game. Rush in pvp because of wipe -- like I have a job sorry. Dont want the solo experience because like seeing other players. There really is no middle ground on an official server. It feels cheap and really not fun. Also wipe mechanic is kinda shitty.
I am having a blast playing solo. You make your own rules (I like to speed gathering and production, for example) and it really gets you to learn the game. Will probably try PVE first at some point then PVP. Not really a fan of rushing since I don’t wanna commit to playing every single day due to work and social life.
its not a WASTE of time, the bear is required to mine big chunks of iron quickly within the secret iron mine. that mine is pretty untraveled and has tons of iron. same with chunks of copper. also it is used to quickly open the gates of the bandit stronghold.

play actually moderated servers. never had any experience as you describe. there are hundreds of great servers with great admins/community. as far as honeycomb goes. git gud.

Nope east side is the best. No point in going to the west. Right next to alpha wolf gets u everything fast with a quick base set up.
Alpha Wolf starts in the southern wolf den on spawn, which is much closer to west side.

Your early plot legit barely matters unless you intend to spend a lot of time there. We based and relocated out of Farbane in 2 hours
