Frank!! Glad to see Your making videos again Sir!! And what a video indeed!! Those are two of the most BEAUTIFUL builds I have seen to date! Those colors are stunning! You have something to be proud of there! Absolute Beauties the pair of them! Those rims You put on them really hit the spot! It is a shame that the Kit manufactures don't include them in more kits. Your choice in using them really hits the mark. I will look forward to more videos, Thank You for sharing with Us here in tubeland! Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later
Hey Frank! Great job on those Darts ! Fantastic detail work. Keep in mind for future builds..... No power brake boosters on Hemi A bodies. While they may fit on a model , there would be absolutely no room for them on a 1:1. In fact, the factory (Hurst built) Darts had flexible brake hoses on a relocated master cylinder to provide for valve cover removal. In addition, any sort of performance camshaft would not supply enough vacuum for a booster to even function. Now, getting to the washer reservoir, Mopars always had the fluid line coming out of the bottom of the tank where the electric pump would be. Even on the foot pedal operated washers, the hose would come from the bottom sump. Sorry to be a nit picker....I can't help it!😁. Regardless, very well done!
Both look beautiful. Love those colors! Looking forward to the follow up to see what they are. I am thinking of using DupliColor Medium Green Metallic for mine, which apparently was a color offered in 1968.
Will the hemi fit under the stock hood on this kit? (I'm not a big fan of the wide hood scoop) You really did some fantastic underhood work on both these models. (nice touch, you even color-matched the caps on the battery to the blue 😉)
It might be possible to fit the 426 using the stock hood but you would probably need to use a different intake manifold…this is something that I might try on my next build of this kit.
@@compulsivemodelbuilder7676 I found one Dart kit at the Akron (Ohio) Model Show over the past weekend. Now I'm on the lookout for one more, before I start thinking how I will build them.
