    I sometimes put in picture frame a pretty card or pictures etc. But I file or shred alot of things. I so need this lady to come to my house and help me organize. Ha ha. Shes a genius. Oh my God my house would be a sanctuary if I had a organized house like her. Looks amazing!

    You are so right about the greeting cards. In going through some stuff last year, I ran across a ton of cards that I had gotten over the years. At first I felt bad about throwing most of them out, but after the first few times, it really felt freeing.

    I noticed some say it was repetitive but THATS OK, some folks need to you to go over it a couple times. Thanks, it worked for me!

    Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Thank you so much for talking about the dreaded mail situation. I have struggled with it for years, and most likely, will for years to come. I am currently trying to deal with it on a daily basis. Have tried it many times before but always ended up not following through. I've gotta work on discipline, I guess. Anyway, thanks again for the many tips and you gave me quite a bit to think about.

    Hi Alejandra:
    I'm a student of English and I would like to tell you that I love your canal. I find your pronunciation is very easy to understand, and the subtitles are very helpful
    I'm learning how to organize and at the same time I'm listening to English speakers.

    What to do with old greeting cards: Scan, store file in an online storage system and use after a year or two to remind a friend that you remember that card. Or use the photo as background for an online photo album. Actual greeting card, show the photo to kid if you have any and use as decoration for boxes or notebooks. On Christmas I could hang them on a tree to remind me of the ppl who sent it and by New Year, that's when I dispose them for new cards. :)

    That's a neat way to organize mail. I don't have much of a system for mail. (and I do need something, to make it more manageable) I just thought of a cabinet that has 6 open shelves labled and the other is a system that can set on a countertop or desk that is stackable. I want to checkout some places that are reasonable (like a dollar store to see what I can find)

    I'm not in to video responses but I will say that USPS Informed Delivery is a great service. I used a PO Box for security so don't get to the PO everyday. With informed delivery, I DO CHECK my emails everyday so I know what came in at the PO. If something is important, I may take an unscheduled trip to the PO. If not, just 2-3 per week. The only drawback is that some bulkier items don't always get scanned in by USPS, so there are a few surprises. Works for me...

      My husband's uncle, a super nice guy, is a paper hoarder. He is afraid to throw away old papers, and has stacks all over his flat. He wants to move but cannot due to the amount of paper. He owns the building, but I imagine it is a fire hazard. I wish someone could help him, but no one in my husband's family seems to care. I guess they figure it is his business.

      That is very possible. They are a weird family. I stopped going to their family functions years ago. I have been married to my husband for many years, but I am still an outsider. I would not even get a direct invite. Something is definitely wrong with that family. The uncle, however, is a super nice guy.

    I work at Bed, Bath and Beyond in the Beauty and Wellness Department. Just letting you know you can use the 20% off coupons per item you have. For example: if you had 20 items, you would be able to use twenty 20% off coupons. The 20% off coupons automatically go to the most expensive items you have. For the $5 off every 15.00 you spend, you are only allowed to use a certain amount.

    The EASIEST Way to Take Care of the MAIL, is to DO IT D-A-I-L-Y. Better to Spend just a Few Quick Minute's rather than an Hour Later. It's Easy to KNOW What IS Trash, Bill's or Whatever. Put a DUE DATE, in the Top Right-Hand Corner of the Envelope, Write the Due Date on it. Odd-Ball Stuff, put in a Pile. GET A NICE LETTER-HOLDER that has "2-3" Slot's. Put the Thing's with Due-Date's in the 1st Slot, and Thing's that Need to be Looked at in the 2nd Slot. Then, Throw Away Trash. D-O-N-E !!! GET a Plastic-Divider that has at least "2" Slot's. One for Receipt's, the Other for Coupon's. Put the Plastic-Divider in the Holder in the 2nd or 3rd Slot of Letter-Holder. This Way, EVERYTHING IS THERE, at Hand. You Don't N-e-e-d Several Bin's, that Take-Up Space and are Not Necessary, for just a Few Thing's. A Letter-Holder Take's-Up Minimal Space.

    • @Zinetha
      @Zinetha 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Finland has that, too. You put the mail in your own mail box and add this plastic clip on the lid that says "Posti" (as in Post Office in Finnish), and the person who brings in your mail takes your outgoing mail with him. Too bad I live in a block of flats (a high-rise, an apartment house, or whatever you want to call it), where there's letter drops on the doors, so your mail just drops on the floor in front your door... Dropping mail the other way just drops it on the corridor floor, that's commons sense. So I gotta take the mail to the post office to mail it.

    • @lindenpeters2601
      @lindenpeters2601 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, in the US we have a little flag you put up if you have outgoing mail. If you live in an apartment, there is usually a separate box at the mailbox center, where everyone can put their outgoing mail.

    Why keep envelopes? bills are yours, write the due date directly on bill if needed, You can ask for due date adjusted to meet your pay periods. Use the KISS principle [keep it simple & sweet] one folder/place for paid bills. You need to retain any Legal Documents, Tax related, warranty items or any bills with potential for dispute based on your experience. When the next month's bill arrives showing previous payment do you need to keep it?

  • @sammyjgrl
    @sammyjgrl 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Paper paper paper!!!!uuuuggggg.....my biggest problem!!! I have a question, do you keep your paid bills and for how long I just started scanning mine into my computer so I keep them there and throw the paper out, I figured since the bills I do pay online don't give me a paper receipt I am okay just scanning them in the computer.I also copy and paste my confirmation numbers from my online bills into word so I don't print them out, what do you think?
