Regarding Thrawn…he didn’t mention anything about taking over the Empire. He said that the Empire is flawed in their judgement because they overlook threats like the Rebellion. Instead of investing in weapons like the Tie Defender that would protect their soldiers in battle, they’d rather sacrifice their people to save costs. This approach would eventually kill morale and weaken the Empire. They needed people like Morgan to help defeat the Rebellion.
Yes! Totally get what you are saying here. I think it's that Thrawn was written in the books a little differently than we see them through Rebel or Ahsoka series eyes.

Great reaction as always Remote Rebels and great catch of Bo Kayan on the Com. I found the Morgan Elsbeth story very interesting. There must be a time jump from episode 2 to episode 3 to the beginning of the new Republic. I like how they tied in the connection to the Mandalorian with Ahsoka episode to that arch giving us an understanding to how Morgan ended up as Magistrate.

Thank you, sweetie! I am really thankful that they told her story. It was like, where did this Morgan come from? who is she? and why does she work for Thrawn? And now I'm all like, okay I get it! hahah And I know, Edith catching Bo was awesome!! Something is wrong with our subtitles, they come on they go off... it's mass hysteria - dogs and cats living together!

This wasn’t my favourite backstory, but it did give some great context for Morgan.
Starts off during the separatist invasion of Dathormir (I already knew this). I think it’s cool. We also got introduced to the mountain clan.
We get to see Captain Pallion (Imperial ally of Thrawn, I thought he was Yularen for a split second at one point, he also became a member of the shadow council).
I freaked the fuck out when we got to see Rukh (Thrawn’s personal assassin who gets killed by Zeb in the series finale of rebels, you’ll have to call back, on second thought don’t bother).
The only reason Morgan really needs imperial favour is because she wants to burn everybody else world as her world was burned, I would assume (even though it’s not explicitly stated) that she wants to use the resources at Thrawn’s disposal so she can try and find a way of resurrecting the night sisters.
I mean it ends up being ironic in a way because she regains her tattoos by the end of Ahsoka due to the great mothers and it just so happened Thrawn ended up in Paridea, not to mention when Thrawn says for the Empire, Morgan says for Dathormir.
I didn’t realise it was Bo’s voice over the commlink, this neatly ties into S2 of Mandalorian as it stands to reason that Bo reached out to Ahsoka to investigate, which leads to Ahsoka’s first fight with Morgan.
Thrawn needs a strong military leadership to assist his world with the Grysk. In the Empire’s current state, he understands how they crumble, he’ll become leader of the remnant and if we get to see the Grysk live action awesome.
He’s not even popular amongst his own species (The Chiss)

Yeah, seeing RUKH was super cool!! I have to learn more about the Grysk! Edith has taught me all about the Chiss. Edith and her incredible EAR! Everyone said it was in the subtitles that it was Bo but at that moment our subtitles had gone off and that was straight up Edith knowing Katee's voice. haha I love that you caught Morgan losing the tatoos and gaining them back by the end of Ahsoka, didn't even catch it. You're the best! Much love to you!!!

I’m just hoping we get some animated announcements this year for maybe a series or two.
I haven’t read anything since dark disciple mainly because I’ve been so fucking tired it’s not even funny, I really wanna start reading the Thrawn ascendancy trilogy followed by the Thrawn trilogy set in between seasons three and four of rebels.
I’ve decided to hold off from watching the acolyte when that starts streaming because I wanna at least read the full volume one of the high Republic before I get invested, just so I can get a feel.

A hint for everyone, watch with subtitles!!! In the subtitles it labeled the voice as “Bo-katan”
We used it but Disney+ has been weird and they disappeared half way thru any episode or movie. It started during the Bad Batch
Like Edith said, we try to have them on but for the past couple of months the subtitles turn on and then they disappear and it's too disruptive to turn them on over and over again while trying to film our reaction. So that was Edith's mad listening skills that caught Bo on her own!! woohooo
That totally sucks! I’ve noticed that when I watch on my Disney+ app on my tv, the subtitles look different than when I watch on my Xbox Disney + app- even on the same tv. So maybe it’s something to do with the device you’re watching on? That truly sucks. I feel handicapped without them- I think I’m getting old.
Thrawn isn't Villain he is between good-grey charakter.
We only see Thrawn in the shows throughthe eyes of the Rebels, the "good guys", soobviously, the way Thrawn interacts withand is seen by them is pure evil. Thrawn isalways doing stuff for the greater good.
He NEEDED Lothal to be working, buildingships and stuff because he neededthem to be a vanguard against the Gryskinvading the Outer Rim. Does he do badthings, for sure, he has tried to protectcivilians before though and his motiveshave always been working towards thegreater good.
Thrawn does not want the Empire toreturn, he doesn't like the Empire in thecanon books and spends years with theEmpire literally subverting the smartesttacticians/scientists to desert and join theChiss/Thrawns growing army to fight theGrysk.

That was ADMIRAL Thrawn, not Grand Admiral. In the books, he has no desire to rule...at first. The continued displayed incompetence by the Empire, plus Thrawn's steady rise through the ranks, things escalated quickly all around.

This is great shit animation SW is really the best SW because KK has no influence on it like Mando s3. Dave has his department in order, he gave Jennifer and Brad creative license like George did with him with Ahsoka while creating TCW. Jennifer Corbett and Brad Rau have moved into the same spot that Dave had with George. I hope one day I get to meet you girls cosplaying and having great fun at one of these conventions.
