    Got one for over a year, absolutely love it. Regarding the price, the movement they use is in some 4000 euro Breitlings. So you get a lot

    Steinhart makes some really nice watches. And this gmt is one of the better ones. I used to have the ocean one 42mm. Great video!

      Thanks, much appreciated. It is a good bang per buck watch for sure.

    Re. the case-size/lugs: Unless you have real skinny wrists, it's not a problem. At least not for me with my puny 17cm/6.7 - 6.8 inch wrists. I own two 42mm Ocean Ones besides my 39 and they all wear great. As always: YMMV. And I think my wrists are rather flat on top, so that might help.
    I've had this, the 42 Titanium GMT and the 39 Vintage GMT Pepsi in front of me and only had money to buy one of them. Pretty tough decision - all three are great watches. Nearly bought the Titanium, ended up taking the Pepsi but I would've loved to pick up one of the Batman-models as well.
    Good call on the bracelet. I picked up my GMT on this one as well and it's pretty sweet. Elegant but not too shiny, super comfortable and it really elevates the look of the watch, IMO. What I will say about the Batman-versions is that both of them are probably among the most stand-alone designs in the Ocean One family. It's not a direct homage to any Rolex that I'm aware of and some elements like the raised rehaut or the date at 6oc are entirely "un-Rolex-y". So for people who don't like the idea of wearing a direct homage, these should be perfect.

      @BlueRam788  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree completely with your points. I think I was worried about the 42 being too big, but I probably should not have. I did not want titanium though. Agree with your homage perspective, this is more tribute like or inspired by than a direct homage. Thanks for watching!

    you can use the gmt hand as home time, hour hand as local time, and bezel as the third place time, very good review, thanks for sharing. I also see the apple soda"蘋果西打“ on your desk, I'm a Taiwanese, I like that apple soda!

    The bezel numbers look proportional too big. I have the 42mm version. This might be exactly the same size font.

    I don't think is a homage to Rolex gmt. The bezel is the same, but the rest is not

      Yupp, some guy made 45 minute vid explaining about 29 differences lol. Basically the only thing which is similar is the split bezel colour. I got this watch and i actually think its prettier. And 1/29th of the price lol

    I have the 39 ovm. I also have The jubilee bracelet but have been wearing all my watches on a G-10 strap. I broke a pin and almost lost a watch, so for the last 2 years G-10's only. I'm real hard on my watches and never has the jubilee bracelet has never come open the 6 months I wore it on the strap. Also this is the only automatic watch I have and it has been close to 2 years and it looks new. Adjust a few very miner scratches that I see with a magnifying glass ( just for shits and giggles) . I don't really care because I buy a watch to wear and never sell any of them. A watch is a tool to me not an investment,although I love them. It is still a watch. I almost got this watch but was afraid of the movement. The OVM. Is as tough as a quartz (so far) and I'm a stickler for accuracy and the OVM may get me to intertaining the idea of another auto. Thanks for the video and enjoy it ,don't worry about scratching it. It's caricature. If my watches could talk ,I'd be in deep gimchee😉

    I have 6.75 in. wrists and the Steinhart is perfect. I have 42 di. dive watches (Alpina Heritage, Orient, Citizen Promaster) and realize now that they are too big for my wrists. Only the Promaster which is truly my tool watch (what a champ when it comes to doing any rugged activity. Looks good, amazing solar power, keeps time well, you set it and forget it) do I not care about the size. The Alpina Heritage with the internal bezel is so nice looking IMO is 42 diameter (too big) but can't get past the look, so it stays, but wish it was 39. Once you get use to under 40 diameter you realize how much you have matured. Size matters, well, proportion matters.

    Wearing my Steinhart Ocean 39 Vintage GMT equipped with an ETA 2893-2. right now. I have had this watch for 2 years now. I have a small but nice collection. The Steinhart still gets more wrist time than any of my others combined. I am addicted to this stupid thing. It is the “vintage” Pepsi colors with a display back etc. Superb mechanical watch……..haters can kiss my donkey.

    They need to make a 42 mm stainless steel GMT Batman

    • @BlueRam788
      @BlueRam788  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Ragone I agree. Although people always moan about 42 mm watches. A choice of both would be solid.

    • @craigh.9810
      @craigh.9810 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! The titanium is ugly in my opinion, and an option for a Jubilee bracelet as well!

  • @christianjoseph7367
    @christianjoseph7367 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    My only complaint is the GMT hand on mine was about 25 mins off the actual time. Common problem with the ETA 2893

    • @1SaG
      @1SaG 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably not the movement's fault. More likely that the hands weren't attached properly. Shouldn't be a huge problem for either Steinhart themselves or for your local watch-maker to fix this. If the watch is still under warranty, I'd take some pics or shoot a short video and mail it to Steinhart's customer support.

    I don't think you can call it an homage. The GMT Master just was a very influencial watch such as the Submariner. I'd rather call it the same kind of GMT watch.

    • @BlueRam788
      @BlueRam788  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I understand what your mean. I was trying to thread the needle and say that it is inspired. Thanks for watching!

    • @adamb3129
      @adamb3129 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But it is a homage

    • @fatimi1muljashi
      @fatimi1muljashi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adamb3129 what's the criteria for that? It has different hands, the markers on dial are printed, the case is different, the date is at 6 o'clock, the crown guards are different... The only obvious similarity is the batman bezel but if that's enough for a watch to be an hommage then we can say that Tag Heuer Aquaracer GMT is also an hommage, right? Batman bezel is something that will always stand out and yes, it will always be a Rolex thing, but I don't think it makes all the watches with it hommages.

    If you can’t afford a Rolex but own a Breitling, why not just save up for a Tudor GMT. In regards to homages, who cares it’s like Polo shirts no one cares that the original polo design was Lacoste. Every brand has its polo and pple wear the one they like.
