Great tutorial, thank you. Is it better to use WSL or install Ubuntu as a dual boot for OpenFOAM? I have heard WSL can sometimes cause issues. Could you suggest which option is better? A tutorial for dual booting would also be appreciated.
Using a linux machine itself is much better than WSL. So I would say use Dual boot. But this will cause issues when you want to use any other windows application along with linux. I will try to make a video on dual boot. But it is very tedious to create partition. There are many tutorials available to create dual boot. Once that is done, installing OpenFOAM is very easy. Thanks for suggestion. I will definitely try.
Dear Harish, one more question: which WSL version is used for the installation-WSL 1 or WSL 2? Do we need to set up WSL 2 first before proceeding with the installation? I look forward to your reply
Dear Harish, i tried to install as per your instructions (D drive in my case where the empty space is about 40 GB) multiple times, but it displays " The operation time out". What should we do now? Please suggest.
The issue sounds weirdly new to me. Never saw that issue. Can you please mail me at admin@codeynamics.com with the steps you followed and after which step this error comes?
Good video for OF installation, nice work .
Thankyou very much
Great tutorial for beginners. Keep going! I like your OpenFOAM tutorials a lot.
Glad you like them! Thanks for your support!

We don't essentially have to setup WSL 2. By default it will be in WSL 2. You can verify that if you want. Please check the documentation of WSL.
