I just finished watching your last video about new standard and I can already tell immediately the change in tone of voice and how active your face is when you're playing this HB deck instead of suffering in Standard queue. I've never played HB before but I'm also getting sick of Standard and your HB content is making me wanna try it out.
I saw someone playing the black shrine in an ob historic brawl deck, and that seems like a great idea. It drains one every turn, giving ob a counter every turn
Only card that seems out of place is Mishra’s Bauble. Also, you can use cards like Feign Death to protect Ob Nix and cut back on some discard, not sure which is better. I think I prefer the Feign Death strat because you can always protect the commander, and just play the best Discard spells.

You could still do the polls, and just use them as an indicator of what people would be interested in? Then play what you like, but if you don't mind an option and it's popular anyway, that seems like the best of both worlds. Just speaking as someone who really, really, really likes the polls -_-;
I hate you for getting me hooked on Historic Brawl!!!! Actually, I'm really enjoying it. But, sadly, I have to craft too many cards to make more than a few decks...

35:48 you could have killed Tamiyo if you wanted, Deification prevents damage, and Marchesa removes counters, it doesn't do damage. Just attacking for lethal was the right play anyway though.
10:30 I knew immediately that they weren't going to cast what they hit off that Etali. Irancrag Feat is a terrible card to cast Etali off of haha. It says "you can only cast one more spell this turn"! So you cast Etali, then you can't cast what you hit off the Etali.
I have played only once against Ob so far. The game started with a t1 Ragavan. The turn after that my Ragavan stole the all will be one from my opps deck🤭
@@tylermvginnis6786 Tamiyo is at 4, she needs to get to 6 to ult. On their turn, they pay 3 life with staff to proliferate tamiyo to 5. Then, they pay 5 mana to activate its ability, untap it, proliferate again, bring tamiyo to 6 and then ult.
Hey CGB love the videos man! And is there anyone who could help me with a brawl/commander deck? I'm wanting to use Obosh the Preypiercer and wanting to dish out ALOT of damage. I found and interesting way with Torbran and rankle equipped with quietus spike and giving it double strike but im struggling with card advantage.
I love HB and i love your content. My only wish for hb is the rebalancing of the matchmaker, somehow i always end up in hell que with all atraxa/etali 😢
Marchesa's triggered ability would also be able to kill a planeswalker named with Deification since the counters being removed via that ability aren't being removed because of damage.
Day 48 of asking CGB for a shrines deck video. Games start at 2:46 Ob from War of the Spark (whichever set had amass) has got to be my favorite planes walker card. Cannot wait for this guy to be a new staple in my decks.
So, against the Deified Taimyo, just to inform, Deficiation says "If DAMAGE dealt to a planeswalker you control of the chosen type would result in all loyalty counters on it being removed, instead all but one of those counters are removed". Since it specifies damage, Marchesa's ability which removes counters without dealing damage should be able to kill Taimyo since it's an ability and not damage.

My version did not do very well, I didn’t lean as heavy into the discard. Maybe that’s the key. The rest of the deck is the same.

Nice thing is you only need one wildcard per card rather than 4 of the same like standard, plus they don’t rotate out
