    You make the best analysis video that I've seen.

      Thanks! I still feel like they could be heavily improved, but at least I got more info across this time than the last video.

    I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS KIND OF ANALYSIS! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! I have been trying to figure out which deck is good against which deck etc.. this is very very helpful!

      No prob. Don't go in depth on every deck, but that is what the spreadsheet link in the description is for.

    Keep those awesome videos coming! Love the analysis, and even the outdated info can be useful for the future meta, it's all we got.

      Yeah, that was my logic. Going to be interesting how MH3 shakes things out. This first week has already been pretty interesting.

    Yo mate, amazing video. I can imagine it's a lot of work, but I really appreciate these in depth analysis of the format. Maybe you could do a video after the next paupergeddon and maybe compare mtgo and paper meta, because I feel like mono R is very much an online thing. Just like on arena, ppl just love to play mono R, because it's mostly cheap, quick and relatively easy, but it kind of distorts the meta away from the actual performance of the archetype. I mean when they banned Prism/Ornament from 5c Tron, the deck was actually not played that much, but they revealed that it had a 62% winrate for the few people who actually ran the deck.
    5-0 decklists have little significance, because of course when 40% of ppl bring mono R, a few of them have to be lucky and make 5-0s and I think the last few paupergeddons have shown, that mono R simply has a too linear game plan to perform over many rounds in a big tournament.

      Well, that's why I only look at the challenges because in leagues red is everywhere because of the quick and easy reason. I neglected to mention that was probably another reason red fell off is because they Sunday 32 backup challenge ended, so people were playing a lot of red in that challenge in particular because of the double queuing.
      I would like to compare data of Paupergeddon but I can never usually get it at a reasonable timeframe and I'd have to hit up the Italians that I know to get me that data. Paper vs Online will always be different as it is much easier to sell/get cards online so it is easier to change decks. There are a lot of people who just play the same deck they always have in paper because it is just unfeasible to keep getting new cards for new decks.

    It’s amazing to see Mono U Fae board 13 cards for the Affinity Matchup. 4 Blue Blasts, 6 Annul-like effects and 3 Relics. Woof.

    • @Kirblinxy
      @Kirblinxy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think they have that many in their sideboard on purpose. I think these are just the best overall SB cards, and most of them just happen to be good against affinity. Still funny though.

    Very cool video, really informative 👌
    So there was a lot of cards I missed, but let's see how the meta shape now !

    • @Kirblinxy
      @Kirblinxy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are even cards I didn't mention that could have some real niche applications. Set is pretty deep, but then again every Modern Horizons usually is.

    I feel you. I updated four decks only to scrap them in a week.

    • @Kirblinxy
      @Kirblinxy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is why online is nice, it's so easy to change things up especially if metas change and your deck becomes poorly positioned. At least with MH3 everything is in flux and any deck could win at this stage.

      It could help alleviate a lot of the ums though. You have no idea how many I cut out in editing 😅
      I procrastinate enough in trying to make the powerpoint slides adding an extra thing before recording would probably mean I'd never get these done.

    I think one of the biggest gainers is Ponza with the Writhing Chrysalis. It can be up as early as turn 2, with 3 bodies and if needed a 4/5, Ramps as needed, HAS REACH. it's just silly the amount of text that card has.
    --------------
    Faced in locals a guy that played one turn 2 and another one turn 3, sacked the mini eldrazis and got out the green initiative guy.
    Turn 1: Forest > Elf
    Turn 2: Forest, enchant it , tap for 2 , elf, tap for 2 => Eldrazi
    Turn 3: Forest , Eldrazi, Initiative hunter
    This leaves turn 3 with 1 elf, 2 5/6s reach, 1 hunter and initiative. I know it's the best opening ever, but still it's not that hard to pull off in that deck, even if that happened turn 4 or 5 it would still be an absolute beast.

    • @Kirblinxy
      @Kirblinxy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do like this. The 4 mana cost was always going to be rough, but the Elf/Sprawl package does seem to be the best way to get this out quickly. A 4 mana 4/5 that refunds 2 mana is pretty insane and all the limited players are already complaining that it is ruining the format for them so it has to be good somewhere and GR LD does seem the best place to start.

      Should also be quite good for monster tron as a cheaper body that ramps

      2 weeks later and look what happened, Chrysalis is now everywhere and Ponza is the new meta. Are you a prophet? Nice call!

    Amazing content! Is it possible to keep doing this or changes made to decklists are not allowing it? Thanks 🙂

    • @Kirblinxy
      @Kirblinxy  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's doable but sample sizes are smaller because I won't know what the decks are under the top 32 for the challenges I can't play in. I am trying to recruit some people to watch replays for me but it is a decent amount of work.
