How do I make a quiz with multiple columns of answers? For example, I want to make a quiz of vocab words in 4 different languages besides English. So I want the hint to be the English word and then the answers to be the same word in each of the different languages. I tried looking it up and found out about the "Group answers with same hint" option, which I did, but my data table still has only one answer column. I'm not sure what to do on the data table.
To make a quiz like that, you do need the "Group Answers with the Same Hint" option enabled. In the data tab, then you'd repeat the same hint multiple times, depending on how many different languages you're using. You could use the column on the right to let people know which languages you're looking for. Then the answers would be in the answer column. For example: Blue | Azul | Spanish Blue | Bleu | French Blue | Blau | German Blue | Blu | Italian

There's no way to hide the extra information column until the quiz is entirely finished, but there is an option to hide it until the correct answer is guessed. If you select the 'Hide 3rd Column until answered' checkbox in the 'Options' tab, then anything that's in the Extra Info tab will only appear after the answer is guessed. Hi Sridevi--we have a feature called "stopwatch mode" for exactly this. Before you start a game that you'd like the timer disabled for, click the dropdown near the timer and select "Stopwatch" to enter stopwatch mode. In this mode, the timer counts up instead of ticking down to 0. You won't be able to earn badges or compete in challenges in this mode, but it can be nice for a more relaxing quiz experience. If you're worried because your quiz says "not verified by Sporcle", don't be--that's completely normal and most quizzes are like this, even good ones with plenty of plays. To get "verified" a quiz has to get published to the front page. Every day a few of the best quizzes are chosen and published to the front page. There's really no way to make it happen other than to make high-quality quizzes, then wait and hope. If you're intent on getting to the front page, two great tips are to make sure your quiz ideas are unique (ie searching for similar quizzes to make sure yours isn't a duplicate) and to get in touch with the Curator for the subcategory of your contribution to see if they have any recommendations for your quiz.

To get your different hints sorted into separate groups, just put the name of the category in the first column, then the answer in the second column. Then click the "Group Answers with the Same Hint" box in the Style tab. That way, your answers should be grouped. For example, with the vertical lines representing different columns in the Data tab-- |X | A | | |X | B | | |X | C | | |Y | D | | |Y | E | | That would get "X" and "Y" to appear as separate columns in the quiz, with 'A', 'B', and 'C' as answers appearing in the 'X' column, and 'D' and 'E' appearing in the 'Y' column. While editing the quiz, go to the Options tab and check 'Accept Single Character Answers'. Then press save and you should be good to go!

Game icons are assigned by Sporcle moderators prior to the publish of a quiz--it's not currently possible to set a game image for your own quiz.
