    Thank you for showing the stars. Some of us are quite interested in what's going on up there. And, judging from 1st Gen NV optic I looked through, previously, there is a lot of normally hidden activity.

    As niccatipay suggested me, I will clear things up. This will be your definitive answer about what should you pick.
    - What night vision should I get?
    First, if you're willing to pay up to 200 dollars and just use it as a casual walk on the park at night, get a Nightfox 120R, it has no magnification and is good for close quarters, but if you're like me and you want the maximum clarity and distance for purposes, like spying on your neighbors, guard your porch, or spot some deer for hunting, get the Bestguarder 900v like the one in this video, It's at 300-ish euro piece of equipment and already comes with 4.5x optical magnification and an excellent digital zoom of 5x (in which I will tell you, it's goddamn clear, not even my 4k camera on my note 9 can get this much clarity with digital zoom), also the IR illuminator is more higher-end than in the other devices, which in return the IR illuminator is much less visible to the naked eye, at the cost of power output, but actually, the binoculars are MUCH more sensitive to light, it means that, in return, it covers a maximum of the 400m as advertised. Honestly, if I'd pick one for the performance solely would be the bestguarder, if you can spend up to 200 euros or dollars or the equivalent, you can afford the bestguarder. The 3 downsides are: You cannot mount it to a helmet in normal ways, you'll have to buy a hella lot of arm hinges or a shoulder mount, it's not reccomended to use it at close distances, let me explain, if you're looking at something at 2 or 3 metres you'll be fine, but at much less than that, the image quality will be out of focus because of the magnification, and third, if you're the kind of guy that wants to go on a walk on the park at night, you'll have some trouble, since the magnification is high, you'll get tunnel vision, and worse, if you have weak arms, you won't be able to hold it properly because it's almost a kilogram (actually more weight is correlated to build quality, so it might be an upside for others)
    In conclusion, close quarters walk in the park and you're on a 200 euro, dollar or whatever budget, get a nightfox. If you're about performance and maximum coverage and features, get the bestguarder. It's the best you can get.
    I'm going to buy the bestguarder soon, and I got all this info because this pair of goggles has the most reviews on youtube. 5 TH-camrs can't be wrong, right? Well, that's everything I could cover, if you have any questions, comment this message.

    So the lowest zoom you can view is 3x/4x? I was ideally looking for like 1x really lowest zoom. So the digital recording won't do any less than 3/4x? E.g. If I was trying to film as field of view in my living room as possible from WITHIN my living room, it wouldn't really work?

    • @freevbucks8019
      @freevbucks8019 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, but the minimum is 4.5x because the lens is 4.5x. You can actually record your living room but you'll have some trouble focusing nearby stuff. This thing is designed to get to 300-400 ish metres, in which is fucking amazing for hunting and spotting, so yeah, these are overkill for your living room but they're not worthless.

    How would this perform with the IR illuminator built into the Zenitco Perst 3 Green+. I would imagine this would be a reasonably economical night vision binocular choice to pair up with this monster of a weapons laser system? I realize this unit doesn't have a helmet mount but this could be fashioned in some sort. I would appreciate your expertise on this...maybe you have even tested it. Thanks!

    • @freevbucks8019

  • @Palehorae20
    @Palehorae20 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem with digital devices is late put really crappy processors in them a problem with using a digital device for close-quarters battle scenarios is you're going to have lag. If you have it mounted to a helmet and you turn your head too fast for example you will see the image stutter and it'll be like a video game on a lagging computer like it's dropping frames.

    • @b4ssfunk3d
      @b4ssfunk3d 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      True you can't really use these in a tactical situation. For hunting and observing these are perfect. I have a coyote problem in my neighborhood and I've been using these for surveillance during these pitch black nights.

    • @freevbucks8019
      @freevbucks8019 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A late reply, but you should consider 3 things.
      1.) Budget
      2.) Average distance for observation
      3.) Will you use it again?
