Flatten the eq and set your crossover to the hpf and then 250hz and adjust your gain to about 1/2. turn the volume up as loud as you want to play on the head unit and then back the crossover down from 250hz slowly until you hear it starting to distort, turn the crossover up until you don't hear the distortion.
you could try one speaker at a time and see if it sounds different. also maybe try flat on your eq. There are all sorts of things to try. settings on amp etc..

Thanks I will try this too, and I am in contact with Rockville they are telling me what to try also.

I did do this too I also brought them into my house hooked up to my receiver and they sounds Awesome!
