Half our team at my new job is in southern India, and they were talking about the flooding and deaths in the northern part of the country from the rainy season over there, it's crazy! I hope it rains here soon, it's been 40C and humid AF for the last 4 days in a row, we've been under constant heat advisories, etc. It's definitely the dog days of summer and I hate it, it's too hot to go outside without sweating buckets and possibly getting heat stroke, lol. There's so much gardening that needs to be done and it's just too hot and humid! I hope you guys had a hassle free trip to Canada and are enjoying your time!

I think where the rain get bad like that there should be drains in location that lead to a water filtration system and storage so if they have a dry season they can use that water for family watering plants

Yeah, of course, the temperature or the rain pattern becomes similar only in a month or two (July to mid-August). But the humidity difference between the Philippines and other Southeast Asian regions and Korea will be beyond imagination. Korea is a region with more technically continental climates and is not a tropical climate condition all year round

Man that flooding over there is something else. Seoul must plan out some sort of budget to fix that park each year since they know the floods are going to ruin it each year. So sad! I wonder why those RFID chips aren't a bigger thing? People lose luggage all the time, so why isn't everyone doing that??? That's a good tip, we'll probably have to do that next time we check a bag in. Reminds me of back in the day when I used to snowboard every weekend. Everyone had either a jacket or pants with RFID chips in them, so in case you got lost or buried in snow somewhere, it'd be easy to emergency personnel to find you!

I'm personally very paranoid when it comes to losing luggage so I always try to fit all my stuff into a carry on + a backpack (personal item) when I travel, but that can be hard to manage when you're gone for 2+ weeks.
I know how you feel, but my husband and I traveled in June and on our flights they were making some people check their carry-ons because they were running out of room in the bins, and I’ve heard stories that those are also often getting lost. What a mess it is these days! I was so stressed, but we were able to board earlier (flying Southwest) and so at least we didn’t have issues with our carryon luggage, and our checked baggage didn’t get lost. But it was very stressful!

They also were offering people $800 to reschedule their flights for the next day, as flights were getting overbooked. I don't know what's going on, but I agree, airports have been quite a mess lately!
I also do this every time I fly! They made me check my luggage on the smaller connecting flight to Halifax, which wasn’t a big deal. But yeah, it’s crazy traveling right now.
I do really like the rain, but where I live it is more like an ever present drizzle that starts in fall and goes until spring. Huge downpours like this are totally different. Seems really hard to get anywhere

I can understand I have three dogs, 5 cats and I feed several community animals in my area.. when I travel I always wish if I could explain to them somehow that I will be back in few days/weeks and they are going to be safe and I am not abandoning them like how they were abandoned by others and I love them and will be back soon :(

I miss rain!!! We need rain here in California 😭We’ve been in drought the whole summer so they mandated less watering for lawns/parks here or you can get penalized for using too much water😅 All grass or parks here are all dried up/brown due to no rain/watering..

Thank you ❤️ We honestly get a lot of shit from some people in the comment section for not taking him with us to Canada when we go, but that journey is SO long and unbelievably stressful-especially for a middle aged cat who would be stuck in a small carrier for at least 20 hours. Beemo has a hard time even on a vet trip, so we know it’s best for him to stay in his familiar environment with another person he likes and trusts.

I can understand I have three dogs, 5 cats and I feed several community animals in my area.. when I travel I always wish if I could explain to them somehow that I will be back in few days/weeks and they are going to be safe and I am not abandoning them like how they were abandoned by others and I love them and will be back soon :(

I miss rain!!! We need rain here in California 😭We’ve been in drought the whole summer so they mandated less watering for lawns/parks here or you can get penalized for using too much water😅 All grass or parks here are all dried up/brown due to no rain/watering..

Thank you ❤️ We honestly get a lot of shit from some people in the comment section for not taking him with us to Canada when we go, but that journey is SO long and unbelievably stressful-especially for a middle aged cat who would be stuck in a small carrier for at least 20 hours. Beemo has a hard time even on a vet trip, so we know it’s best for him to stay in his familiar environment with another person he likes and trusts.
