That blocked shaft was interesting! I wonder if there were any drift levels off of that shaft? Looked like a pretty good-sized mine. Great documentation!
Really cool bud! I live in Phx. and every mine I can find is getting blocked off....yay. I've been getting on Google Earth a lot trying to find new places to go but am having a helluva hard time spotting mines, any tips or tricks you could throw my way to find them?! Rt thanks. According to some 'scienitists' all gold comes from supernovas so in theory Earth should have the stuff everywhere and mines should be constantly producing. I don't buy that theory.
Set your cameras up by zooming in as far as possible. Move the camera to manual focus. And zoom manually. You'll stay in focus 100% of the time.

IT'S POSSIBLE BUT I'VE SENT A CAMERA DOWN MANY VERTICAL MINE SHAFTS BUT TO MY SURPRISE I HAVEN'T SEEN MANY DRIFT LEVELS.

Best not to map them,the county is filling them in or blocking and hiding the entrances as fast as they find them.

I use to live near Oatman. There are old silver mines in every direction you look.
