Didn’t know I needed this in 2021, but it turns out I did
i hope we get a new Braxton album soon. i miss this mischievous energy.
I'm so happy. I didn't know Tyondai was doing all this since Battles. I was listening to Battles today, and wondered what happened to their original vocalist and looked up the name and recent work. I'm all about modern classical, free improv, and Bjork and this feels in that vein for me.
If I had to pick a fav of the three new releases it would be this one!
Interesting music, T. When I first saw the art, I thought it was Dave Konopka... it wasn't. How cool it would have been if Dave and Tyondai collaborated again. Mirrored is by far the best BATTLES album. "Better to burn out than fade away" I suppose.
I'm so excited to get something new from Tyondai Braxton! I am curious if we'll ever get an official recording of Telekenesis though ÷o
