This man is a genius. I cannot thank him enough. Every other tutorial, even the official documentation, shoves way too much extra stuff in your face before they go over the basics. I appreciate the structure and clarity going on here.
He is a true professional and a teacher. Honestly I've learned from this tutorial more than in a full length course. Thank you and please keep sharing simplified and perfectly explained content as the above.
I'm evolving from a normal html/css/js web developer into a react developer, and my god I'm just so impressed with npm and react right now. So much stuff to make coding easier! I also love your tutorial on how to get started with routers. I was still using anchors and href this I discovered routers not too long ago :)
i generally dont watch tutorials because i feel like i am wasting my time and just read the documentation but this video has helped me a lot because the documentation was complicated. thanks a lot
@@yyyzzz-k3rthat's 99% of documentation out there with extensive material, that's why I end up writing my own cheat sheets and notes when I learn a tool
This video should hopefully help with how to do this. It is using an older version of React Router, but the general idea should be the same. th-cam.com/video/PKwu15ldZ7k/w-d-xo.html
Dope, I will probably have to watch it one more time. Really cool to see how much you have grown compared to your old videos. You are so much more expressive and enjoyable to listen to. Keep up the good work.
My man!!! That's better than any paid course... You should hire someone to translate this to other languages, many non english speakers are losing your awesome content!! Tnx!
Man you're saving my life right now. I started to learn React Router but when I saw those massive information block I was spooked by it. Thanks for this video!
Odd question, but is there a chance you can include a keyboard overlay that tracks your button presses? Would love to see the shortcuts you use in real time
Wow, this was very helpful. I appreciate how you did not cover just the basics but all the small and big parts. You are such a great instructor. Thanks for taking out your time and making it for us. I can not thank you enough.
Wow! I feel like I watched this on 1.5 speed. Such amazing information in such a short period of time! I'll definitely have to watch this a few times for it all to sink in. Exciting!!!
You helped me land my first web developer job. Was watching your tutorials and coding along and in my interview i had a very similar coding challenge to what I was just learning from you. Thanks web dev simplified
Thank you fr, solved my problem in literally 5 minutes. Spent the entire day on different tutorials and even the documentation and you solved my problem in 5 minutes.... Thank you again
was working on a project, had some obscure questions that google didn’t help with, but this video somehow magically answered literally everything right when i needed it.
Holly heavens, i have been struggling with react router v6 and i was planning to give it a shot and read the documentation and here you are saving for the day, thank you
About the replace attribute, I believe another important use case for wanting to replace the last element on the browser history would also be if you have some sort of payment page, you want to make it difficult for your user to accidentally pay twice.
hey web dev simplified, you totally saved my life for creating this masterpiece, very clearly explained for every details, truly appreciate your hard work, please keep it up!
bro just created a visual representation of react-router-dom v6 documentation in one go🤯🤯you are amazing bro & thank you very much 💖 for providing web dev experience in a simplified version
Thanks you for all your tutorials. It really helps in my job. I created an enterprise level application in React all by myself. Couldn't be possible without your tutorials
@@WebDevSimplified There is a scenario in which I want to show a separated component for only index (/books) route with component RootBooks. Problem I am facing, RootBooks component shows within BookLayout. I do not want to show contents of BookLayout, just RootBooks contents should appar when I move to route "/books". How can I achieve this with react router v6 ?
Very high quality content from this man, every time I have doubts on certain topics I just look for his tutorial and really helps me to understand, crazy precise and concise explanations (IMO). I guess he isn't joking when he says "my job is to simplify the web for you". Respect good sir!!!
Kyle i have to watch ur router v6 video at 0.9x speed and still keep replayong certain segment to understand it properly. It's way too much to consume in one go and i still very much love it !!
This is a great lecture and well tutored. A little input. The react-router-dom is already pre-installed with create-react-app so we do not need to install it seperately when dealing with React apps. Routing become complex in React because React is a SPA - single page application however react-router-dom simplifies routing system in React application. Great lecture and the way you simplified it is insane. Respect.
Thank you so much for explaining this topic so efficiently. For someone who is new to react and had no experience about routing in react world, this was very much helpful. It gave me a pretty solid understanding to begin I think.

I agree, he's the best
Also he has that disney-prince perfect hair 😭
This feels like paid content that I didn't pay for. Learned so much more in a half hour video than I have in a 3 month course. Truly amazing!
I think I know my Router v6, but I'll definitely check this video out cuz, knowing Kyle, he probably has some cool tricks up his sleeve.
He is a true professional and a teacher.
Honestly I've learned from this tutorial more than in a full length course.
Thank you and please keep sharing simplified and perfectly explained content as the above.
didnt know that Homelander now teaches react
😂

right? first time i started using react, my mind was blown lmao

Yeah, I was trying the documentation and they hide a lot of materials... they are just like do this., do that.. never explain why
@@yyyzzz-k3rthat's 99% of documentation out there with extensive material, that's why I end up writing my own cheat sheets and notes when I learn a tool
best explanition ever covered every thing i don not know how to thank you
Thanks for the introduction to React Router.
FYI: You can use `component={ My Component }` instead of `element={ }` to avoid extra loading
your method is not working i do not know why?may be they stop using it in updated version
ya,in the updated version(v6) there is no `component` only `element`.
Hey man. Thank you so much for these videos. Because of you, I am now proficient in react and I am pretty good at my new job as software developer.
Ditto!
Could you also go over protected pages like account pages once you are logged in?!
was wondering about that one aswell, with the new version it seems to be a bit more complicated imo
This video should hopefully help with how to do this. It is using an older version of React Router, but the general idea should be the same. th-cam.com/video/PKwu15ldZ7k/w-d-xo.html
you can just create an HOC
Seriously this video is different from other videos where they just tell how to setup a thing and dont go in details.
Thanks bro
Pack 45 minutes, a well done tutorial I think the community should start thinking to give you a title like The WDS Professor.
Dope, I will probably have to watch it one more time. Really cool to see how much you have grown compared to your old videos. You are so much more expressive and enjoyable to listen to. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations for 1 M subscribers.. please do the separate video and tell us how you started journey
