THE best express tutorial on youtube, I have been working with express for several years but haven't seen video this simple for beginners to understand, you really have great ability for content creation

All this stuff might be basic but other youtubers create 3-4 hours of tute just to deliver the same content. So considering this is only half an hour, I'd say this is a really efficient video. @@sepmercury5180

I have followed a few tutorials (some of them were several hours long!) before watching this and I can 100% say I understood way more about how to use express with it than with any other video. It's short enough and concise enough to give you all the keys you can then build upon without being overwhelming for beginners.
Wait but for real why is this guy the only one to ever made a video that is truly “how to for beginners”. Thank god for this man. I searched for weeks for a beginner tutorials but literally all videos were meant for advanced. Like hello what do the folders mean and how to structure them. Thanks a lot for being the one and only that can actually help me learn.

@@ahamedsha_jr I'm not in the UK, but I study in an average UK uni. Syllabus is actually quite up to date and they teach us full stack. Obviously just basics, just barely scratching the surface, and I cannot use this to build any real-life product, but at leas tI got some understanding of full-stack.

Incredible man. I found a book on express but it wasn't really a high level intro but more of a nitty gritty explanation of a million things that while useful weren't what I needed to know to get up and running. This however, was perfect for that particular goal and I have taken copious notes and learned more in a couple hours with less confusion then any other video I've found on the topic here on YT. Keep it up!
I spent about a week shopping around different projects, and decided to use express to serve a simple webpage to practice on. I've had no problems showing a plain html file, but for the last 4 days I've been pulling my hair out getting any other sort of request not to error out. I finally decided to follow a tutorial to ensure I wasn't missing something stupid, I get to the bit about handling /users and I started getting the same issues as before. It turns out I had an enginx reverse proxy that I must have misconfigured. It was handling the first request fine, but anything outside of "/" was failing. I'm not sure what I bungled, but stopping nginx and accessing the port directly cleared it up. Great video.
I am starting on node js and I'm really impressed by the amount of info shared here. I don't know how long it would have taken to know the 'tricks' and best practices shared. You always share some tips in all your videos 👏

This is really good coming from a MANY years experience C# programmer who's doing some NodeJS work. Really good overview of the whole process without having to have a 7 hour "how to program" course.
@@mylesgideonprospero ummm no I don’t think so. If you wanna do anything really advanced in tech, uni is a resource second to none. My school just doesn’t put much effort into web dev cause most of us are doing real work like high performance system architecture, compiler design, etc.
Super well done and very comprehensive. I learned more form this video than many others put together. It was sort of like drinking from a firehose - so much good information in a short bit. Watched it in part, and repeated sections. Definitely bookmarking this. One of the best.
This video definitely helped me understand far more than the first time I messed around with express.js The way you explain it helps us conceptualize it very well and compartmentalize it in our minds. God Bless!
excellent beginner turotial man. I had a web exam which turned into a final exam instead of a project and had like a day to prepare for cause I got busy in other courses not to mention the fact the web classes were 8 am so yeah my fault kind a but thanks you are a life saver

I working with node about one year on a daily basis. Node is just sick javascript runtime / "programming language" if you want call it like that, and it can do everything! There is no limitations it this! Just need to imagine what you can do and here you are. Sky is the limit. It's just SICK!

Really good tutorial, doesn`t teach all the functions cuz them u can search on docs of express, but he explains really well the concepts that are most important. I learned much with this tutorial! Please keep doing this classes with other libraries

In case there are anyone other newbies out there like myself trying to follow along, make sure to use the little mark on the tilde key ` to the left of the 1 key, and not the single quote to pass the ${req....} literal. took me a few minutes to find why that didn't work

Excellent video on the basics. I might use Express for our next project, I just have to figure out a few things first: - Does Express come with an IoC container + DI? - ORM, database migrations? - Tasks & scheduler? - Input validation, i8n, etc. I'm sure there are 3rd party packages for all of these, but picking ones outside the framework can be tricky. You never know how they'll be maintained.
I'm in a coding bootcamp through a local university, and this is a way more concise explanation than they gave for using express. It's amazing to me your content remains free. All of your content has been so helpful in not just passing the bootcamp, but also in improving my skills as a beginner dev. Thank you so much dude!
