Took your advice about music books (from an older video) and bought a stack from a local Goodwill. Got about 20 for .69 each. A few have sold nicely. The jackpot item was a vintage Monkees music book. None like it was listed anywhere on eBay so I put it on auction. Sold over $50. Thanks for all your great info!
There was a saint francis thriftstore in billings montana...and they WENT OUT OF BUSINESS!!!! I used to shop there every time i went to billings. I purchased several pieces of furniture for my place. I still have those pieces. I was SO disappointed to find out they closed! I loved that store! 😢
Always know Goodwills are usually a mess because of the customers. I’m sure the workers aren’t on a mission to purposely make a mess of the store they work at. I feel horrible that Goodwill workers are always picking up after people because of customers being so lazy putting things back where they belong, open packages, broken items, etc. Higher end antique stores are cleaner and neater due to less traffic and the kind of people going in there
Thanks again for the content. We have done very well with certain gun related books and always on the look for them. I remember a few years ago at a Sunday flea market helping a dealer take a couple of heavy suitcases out of his vehicle. He offered them both to me if I agreed to return the suitcases. Opening them up and seeing they contained only firearm, knifes and sword books some of which I have sold in the past. The price was very fair and yes, I returned the suitcases.
I have never seen these songbooks, so I looked on eBay for sold songbooks and they sell for very little money. The markets your selling to are in the USA and not the UK. I liked looking around the store with some interesting stuff on the shelves, but they always seem to be top prices with very little room for you to buy and sell. Thank you, Don. Charles in the UK
Every one of those guys started out as a small driver / mechanic in a small town North Carolina was a big incubator.... some of them went on to become test drivers for Nissan Toyota... Datsun B210 we're very popular oh, it was a car that any guy could obtain & modified to race - John Morton was one of those guys - living here locally... most of these guys pretty much knew everybody... if you're out ever in the Miracle Mile area Petersen Museum is an excellent car Centric Museum... Fairfax Wilshire, near LACMA Museum a couple other museums....LAXVESPA-LOSANGELES
Don, where are you getting theses prices?? For instance, you're saying the book Guns of the Civil War is selling in the $40 range. But I'm looking on Amazon right now... only one is $40, the rest are selling from $12-$20.
charity shops were great until the invention of the smart phone,some now think they can get crazy money they see on ebay ect,and better bet is the charity shops on ebay ,that do auction bids,got some great stuff there.let your fingers do the walking,great show dom, great insights you give on things you might never look at with curiosity.things you might never give a second look.
