Philippines should have win this game and because of sabotage to their buses that are going to the venue, they should've warmed up earlier than the Chinese team.
Philippines had a legit NBA big man import, Blatche, but China was still taller and longer. But PHI could've won a close game if Blatch was more assertive in the paint all throughout the game, and if the team missed less FT's. Also, 2 certainties in Asian basketball: China will always be taller, longer and better outside shooters; Philippines will always be more athletic, better ballhandlers, play tougher....and always need an import to be able to compete with the elite teams.

Watching this game TODAY, and *objectively* observing a 19-year old (during this game) Zhou and *how he moved and played* in this game (NOT just the stats BUT HOW he moved), I think he's better (here, at 19) than a 19-year old Kai Sotto (who turned 20 this past May). Zhou, and even the 21-year old (during this game) Wang certainly played more physical and aggressively in this game than a 19-year old Sotto in the last Australian NBL season. Good measuring stick for Kai Sotto in terms of his weaknesses and what he needs to improve on in order to get signed by an NBA team. Let's keep in mind that Zhou only had a brief stint in the NBA and got very little playing time. Now compare that to the finesse player Kai Sotto who looks physically weaker and "softer" than a 19-year old (during this game) Zhou.

Watching this game TODAY, and *objectively* observing a 19-year old (during this game) Zhou and *how he moved and played* in this game (NOT just the stats BUT HOW he moved), I think he's better (here, at 19) than a 19-year old Kai Sotto (who turned 20 this past May). Zhou, and even the 21-year old (during this game) Wang certainly played more physical and aggressively in this game than a 19-year old Sotto in the last Australian NBL season. Good measuring stick for Kai Sotto in terms of his weaknesses and what he needs to improve on in order to get signed by an NBA team. Let's keep in mind that Zhou only had a brief stint in the NBA and got very little playing time. Now compare that to the finesse player Kai Sotto who looks physically weaker and "softer" than a 19-year old (during this game) Zhou.
