You got a very "Conan and Red Sonja" look. Love them!
👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
Its fun watching your skills improve with each video.
Gotta print the barbarian with the Braowd Swoard.
I was surprised how good that looks. Nice job!
Primal collectibles have some interesting hero quest models to 3d print
Loving this journey, so glad I can come along. Also painting my heroquest minis at the moment and your slapchop is helping me out loads!
Black primecoat darkens skin and other light colors quite a bit. Prime in dark gray and drybrush lite gray and white for lighter color paintschemes
Very nice. These air paints really up the game here. I see two easy wins that could be achieved here with very little effort.
One - when doing muscles with air paint (or any other increasingly lighter layers) , always start next layer from the top of the muscle, and leave some at the bottom of the muscle unpainted.
Second easy win would be slight improvement in drybrushing to get rid of graininess. Doing dry brush with lightly damp brush will have that positive effect. Artis Opus on TH-cam has this perfected.
But anyways love the result and video. GJ
Thank you for your Slapchop videos they are very inspiring and have given me a new way of thinking about the hobby. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Watching another guys show on Wednesdays called good with it. Same philosophy, painted is better than gray👍👍👍👍
wow.. simply amazing! thanks for the video!
These look so good
Nice minis!
Great video, clear bases look great, but which tool did you use to cut off the original bases?
How long before an opened bottle dries out and is wasted?
What color and brand did you use for the the dry brush white?
Can I suggest some ways to improve slapchop?
First method is to prime black, then spray a colour like purple on the left and red on the right before drybrushing to get some underlying colour into the speedpaints. adds a nice amount of depth.
Second method is the same as before, but you zenithal highlight with grey seer or wraithbone after applying the spray colours, but before drybrushing with white to make the model vibrant and have coloured shadows. speaking of which...
Third method is to prime in a coloured primer like Colour Forge's Imperial Purple or any colour really, then zenithal highlight as with method 2 and drybrush. this makes colours REALLY pop.
Fourth Method is to prime in colour, then drybrush with Wraithbone, then drybrush lighter with white on areas where the light hits the model like the shoulders or the top of the head. A simple but fun slapchop method that helps a ton.
Final method is to Prime in colour, then zenithal highlight ONLY the front of the mini or the side to intentionally make half look dark, then only work on the highlighted part as normal before using contrast to darken the untouched area and make it look like its deep in shadow.
Hope this inspires you, its made my works a LOT nicer imo. Love the videos man!
In the third method you mean to zenithal with grey and then drybrush with white?
@@michal4736 zeniothal with Wraithbone, then drybrush white. works better
Flappy thing! 😯lol
Random question; If I want to sell my metal minis from the late 80s to 90s, is it better to keep them as is with a 1/10 - 2/10 quality paintwork, or should I deepclean them to perfection?
The clear bases kill me.
Kings of war?
I find the skintones to be a tad too dark for my preference. It would have made more sense to just prime these white and speedpaint em without the slapchop method. Not everything benefits from a harsh black/white slapchop. You should experiment combining varios speedpaint methods on 1 mini. Would make for a great video.
Look out! Expert on the spectrum over here!
Base the skin tones in a neutral gray or even tan, then slapchop the whole thing. That would give you lighter skin and dark gritty everything else.
Hey nice vids - what Black Primer do you use? Rustoleum is half the price of Citadel and Army Painter but have heard it may be too think. Just wondering your experience.
Thank you for the videos!!!! Keep the good job
Flappy thing 😂
Hey just wanted to say thank you. I love your content. I suffer bad with my mental health and your videos really help me to chill out and calm down. Where can I get one of your dry palettes please as I want to try this out for myself. Thanks again and please keep up the great work 😊
Thankyou so much for your kind words, being an empath I do get very affected by comments and yours has made me smile and I'm glad you like my content, all my 3d files can be found on my patron page 😊
@MiniatureHobbyist Thank you. I don't have a 3d printer, so I would struggle. Is there any way at all I could possibly buy a printed one off you, please 🙏🏻
Fantastic work as always! Been loving slap chop and have so many find memories of hero quest with my dad. I'm guessing the artists last name is pronounced closer to 'Hizzo' than Rizzo, assuming they're Brazilian based on their name.
