Attan originated as a traditional dance from the Pashtun tribes, who were primarily populated in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They descended and reigned there as the dominant ethno-linguistic group for about 300 years. Hence, Attan, their original folk dance, was considered as a very important form of art by the Afghans and they started to perform it during wars, rituals and celebrations. However, it further got modified into a Muslim dance of the soldiers, as it presumably allowed the dancers to get closer to ‘God’ before they advanced on their missions. In addition to the traces of this origin, there is also a Greek myth associated with Attan. According to the Greeks, Athena was born out of Zeus’s head with a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. The ancient Greeks admired her as the goddess of both war and intellect and to celebrate and worship her, the Athenians would perform the Pyrrhic dance. During that time, Alexander the Great had conflicts with the Persians and every city he conquered, he supplanted his Greek men to govern the local population. Few of these Greek soldiers came in close contact with some local Pashtun tribes. Claims of this Greek ancestry are the Khattak tribe and the Ghilzai tribe. Hence, the Greeks believe that Attan is originated from the Greek Pyrrhic dance as the Khattak style is its closest version. - บันเทิง

My simple question is that where is Pushto spoken in Afghanistan. Kabul Mazar Sharif Herat Bamiyan Ghazney are petsian centre.
@@TahirKhan-tx7tg My brother Tahir Khan. The reason why pashto is very weak is me and you not valuing our language and tend to speak the language of others. For example in Afghanistan when pashtoon faces farsi speakers they start talking farsi and in Pakistan when pshtoon faces an urdu speaker even in Peshawar, they start speaking urdu. Another reason for weakness of pashto is the pashtoon nation is divided in two countries (like Kurds are divided in 4 countries), if they were united as before during Ahmadsha baba and Khoshal Khan baba time, every one would speak pasho in the region. It is shame that despite being 80 millions (55 millions in Pkistan and 25 millions in Afghanistan) we can not write and read properly in our language. That is our right to speak in our own language like other nations. I am not saying we should not learn English, which is the language of science and techology, but we should be able to read and write in Pashto too (like other other countries such as Japan, Korea , Germany, Iran Turkey, etc), They have smaller poulation than us, but they have their language. I can go on and on, but in short we should support our language and unity and leave following others (farsis and urdo speakers) although we should respect other languages as well.
@@mohammadtahirwardak1930 I have no more knowledge about Afghanisyan. I know only one thing Afghan king Amir Abdur oRehman sold Pushtoon land alongwoth Pushtoon tribes to British regime. Now Afghans blowing slogans LAR O BAR YOU AFGHAN. I do not belive on this statement. I am Pakistani and you are afghan this is ground reality. In response afghan king received money from British govt.
