Attan in Government College University, Lahore
Attan originated as a traditional dance from the Pashtun tribes, who were primarily populated in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They descended and reigned there as the dominant Ethnolinguistic group for about 300 years. Hence, Attan, their original folk dance, was considered a very important form of art by the Afghans and they started to perform it during wars, rituals, and celebrations. However, it further got modified into a Muslim dance of the soldiers, as it presumably allowed the dancers to get closer to ‘God’ before they advanced on their missions. In addition to the traces of this origin, there is also a Greek myth associated with Attan. According to the Greeks, Athena was born out of Zeus’s head with a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. The ancient Greeks admired her as the goddess of both war and intellect and to celebrate and worship her, the Athenians would perform the Pyrrhic dance. During that time, Alexander the Great had conflicts with the Persians, and in every city he conquered, he supplanted his Greek men to govern the local population. Few of these Greek soldiers came in close contact with some local Pashtun tribes. Claims of this Greek ancestry are the Khattak tribe and the Ghilzai tribe. Hence, the Greeks believe that Attan is originated from the Greek Pyrrhic dance as the Khattak style is its closest version. - บันเทิง

Womens are allowed to work,education etc they have right in inheritance,Dowry,protection etc what else they want more?
If you leave women to make choices which are against our deen,then there will be chaos in our society.Childrens will born and grown with no interest in Islam and as a result Islam will be diminished.Womens are big part of our religion and society.

This is one of the ethnics or Pashtoon's traditionally dance, most probably wedding ceremonial I have ever watched even when I personally visited those ceremonies in my 20's. It caught my heart and mind with sweet memories that it is very decent, organized and synchronized in traditional dress like Peshawari chappal, Kotay (jacket), shalwar, Kameez (shirt) and Qissa Khawani bazar topay (hat) . love and miss that. ⭐👍😎😊💥

@@pashtunculture555 However, Attan is the national dance of Afghanistan... every ethnic group (Pashtoon, Tajik, Hazara, Uzbeki...) in Afghanistan is dancing this dance.. so you are respresenting more the Afghan dance and songs not ONLY Pashtoon culture.
And the fact that there are more Pashtoons in Pakistan than there are in Afghanistan is correct, but you also have to consider the reason behind it. We fled from Afghanistan because it was not safe in the last 60 years. Every Pashtoons origin is in Afghanistan, but in the end its up to the individual itself, what ever they consider themselves.
