1991 theme hands down. As a kid of the 90s, whether it was Dan, Tom, or Peter, when the clock struck 5:30pm in our house, it was time to sit down, shut up, and get informed of world events when music like this started. Good times, good times....
😭 1:29 reminds me of my late parents and late Grandpa from Lakeland, Florida; as well as my late grandparents from Jacksonville, Florida; who practically raised me on CBS News; as well as "In The News With(the late)Christopher Glenn". The soundtracks sound so....mesmerizingly dreamy!📺 😇 May God rest your souls, Mom, Dad, and Grandpa!😇
2011-16 theme was when I was in Dad’s bedroom, watching the news and especially “On the Road.” It was a very heartwarming tune, especially after the ending story (which was usually heartwarming or emotional.) And now, it’s returned for the 2025 era with John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois.
I don't get what's so funny so I don't know why you're using a laugh emoji nothing's funny here except for you the crazy one thinking something's funny when it's not.
We place our burdens down in the twilight, and ask the world to be still, whilst we sleep... alas, the world keeps going, waiting for it's respite, and we wake, once again, to champion the cause, and seize the day. May we be the heroes of stories yet unwritten.

@@Sadgoilia is there any way to get the full theme… to listen to it somewhere online…??? i’d love to listen to the full theme regardless of how long it is…

Such fascinating music suite themes for every "CBS Evening News" hosted by different anchors. : )

I'm forever a fan of the 1991 theme, but it is striking how many times CBS has brought the 1987 theme back.
And that’s part of our world tonight. For the CBS Evening News, Dan Rather reporting. Goodnight.

Hearing the 1987 Rather/Pelley theme brings tears to my eyes.
Incredible work!
7:09 CBS Evening News with Norah O'Donnell (2019-2024)
Freakin’ LOVE this!! Wish these were available on iTunes ❤
I absolutely love the one with Scott Pelley up to 2016. Gives "The Mission" at NBC News a run for their money.😂

Basically, the 1987 and 2011 themes are similar.

Great quote. What is it from?
@@GFI888 Not bragging, but I made that myself.

7:55, The new arrangement of the theme is better is not bad.
Dan Rather's theme De-manded (demanded) and Co-manded (commanded) respect... just like two other networks iconic themes and anchors
A collection of neo-Romantic vignettes
2006 all day!
Tonight's closing theme Disco 12/28/23?

How did you get the current CBS Evening News Closing Theme
I recorded it from different broadcasts and edited it together with my sense. The full closing theme is three times that length.
@@Sadgoilia Cool
@@SadgoiliaHello. Can you do 24TV(Turkish news channel) AKŞAM HABERLERI/MODERATÖR Instrumental? If you want I can share you links to do it
@@Sadgoilia Why? there are so many cleaner endings available and the one you put sounds terrible.
@@OpalVerdant Thanks for the compliment:) I edited it before clean versions were dropped. You can check out new versions where it’s all good.
How did you get the latest one?
I only heard the 3rd portion of the headline bed, by the way.

The one with Katie Couric was the worst :))😂
Compared to the one at 4:45?
James Horner did Katie Couric's Theme & he even did the Universal Studios Opening Theme.
1991-2006!! 2006-11 is a close second
Norah O’Donnell’s name spelled wrong, missing an L. Also agree Katie Couric theme was the worst!
Nothing beats the 1991-2005 theme, all the rest of it is frenetic trash
