This reminds me of Metheny; I can't stop listening to this piece. Beautiful. I've spent many evenings listening to you on youtube. I want the cd's. I will share as much as I can. Love this so much more than covers (though enjoy them too).
This is so amazing, as are all of your performances. I've looked up to you all since I heard your recording of Many Lives-49 Mp. I tried to blend together all your parts to make a solo that would be recognizable since I don't have a group, but I'm not practiced enough :D Keep up the awesome work.
I have only just discovered this site and the music, which is exceptional, but it all seems to have stopped five years ago. Are you still playing together?
As an old trombonist from 1965 there is a difference between slurry, sloppy and crisp. The trombone is the easiest instrument there is to do a sloppy slur on. But to do a crisp triple tongue staccato is the work of a master.
hello, i am looking into starting to record music with brass instruments, i play trombone, i have no clue what kind of mic i need, could you give me any suggestions
David, What a smooth sound. Reminded my of the LEIGH KAMMEN sound. Sorry we could not connect on our five day whirl wind trip to MN . There is always Mexico when you care to come. Dan and Shirley seemed to enjoy Nancy and are plannng to visit south of the border. Have a great summer. I JAKE
+David A. Paulson Honestly, I think that wouldn't work, not because I have anything against the euphonium, but it wouldn't have that same ring to it that they have on the trombone.
These guys are top notch love them. that bass trom player one hell of a player

Great playing and writing.. - fan from Houston,TX
Good work guys! I am continually so impressed by everything you all do! What an amazing group of friends to have!
A couple of the licks in this piece are reminiscent of the Magic School Bus theme.

The only thing that would improve this is if the instruments were euphoniums. Fantastic sound. Congratulations!

David,
I still need brass and woodwind sounds balanced with a lot of strings. For me the cello and violin are the most satisfying on a constant basis.
id say it wouldnt work just because trombones are better
Is there anywhere I could get some sheet music for this? I've always wanted to learn this piece
Thanks Brandan - send me an email at carllundgrenmusic@gmail.com for sheet music
I only liked it cuz of the jokes at the end
