Because he says in his monologue that his mom constantly told him to dial it back and that he tried. So now he can truly be himself and also live out his dreams better then he ever could if he was alive again. I think about this a lot for the other characters as well. I think it might be part of the park's neglect too, sings Ocean in Minor Turn "That crunchy carnival, clearly drunk!" so they probably let Ricky go on the ride because the workers weren't interested enough (although I don't rule out that Ocean also argued to get Ricky on the ride)

There's a reason it's not talked about. We've all thought about it but none of us like it. It's pretty bad for Noel's character, the only canonically gay character to be a catfisher. He wants tragedy for himself, not others.
