I will never forget this video. My father who was a third generation firefighter sent me this video 3 weeks ago and told me to never make him go to one of these, as I just got on the same department that he was on recently. He passed away yesterday, at 55. I love you dad, until we meet again ❤️

I love so much the abrupt stop of bagpipes at the end of their piping and the chilling silence which follows. A beautifully painful reminder of the frailty of life.

I knew most of these men,and now almost 2 years later I still can't believe this whole ordeal was real...I've never seen so many small community's rally together as they all did,made me proud to be a small town volunteer...RIP my brothers...

I was at this funeral in full dress. Most emotional funeral of a fallen brother I have been to up to that point until we lost one of our own. But to see 13 flag draped coffins in front of you, all that gave the ultimate sacrifice, and their wives and children in front of your face, with as many homicides, suicides, and other DOS I've been apart of, this was by far the worst yet most proud moment of my firefighting career.
Im sorry that happened to you brother. I've never been to a funeral like that but I've worked on one of our own (fire, ems, police, military) a few times and i Know the feeling. You're NEVER alone brother......you got FAMILY. Please ALWAYS remember that.

As a cousin of a firefighter/EMT I just want to say thank you to all of our first responders you all put your lives on the line everyday thank you again and God bless you all may these fallen first responders rest in peace
And just think 2 months later 19 more died the granite Mountain hotshots I the yarnell hill fire we need to re evaluate and take better care of our FFs
