    Doctor can you confirm what a lady dietician recently told me about olive oil in the Greek horiatili salad? That if there is none then the person eating it does not absorb the same amount of vitamins minerals and fibers as the one salad that has lots of oil?

      Hi! Yes that’s true. for lipid soluble vitamins and other micronutrients like carotene (pro vitamin A), other lycopenes and vitamins A, D, E, K. When these are present in the vegetables of the green hotiatiki salad, they are easier absorbed in the body in the presence of olive oil

      How beautiful that culinary practices, flavours and individual dishes can transcend across different nations and bring people together :)

    What's Greek coffee?

    • @TassosKoidis
      @TassosKoidis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, not far from a Turkish style coffee you might know. Very fine grind, slowly heated to boil and allowed to rise once, with the grinds separated by gravity in the final cup.. pretty straight forward , see one of my other videos for more info

      It’s more authentic like this. The dude’s Greek. Are you here for linguistics or are you here for food?
