    WOW!! She's performed a public service here. Many people love those beaded hat bands, but not everyone wears those large-brimmed hats. She has answered prayers here.

    I know this video is 2 yrs old but we still watch and use these videos!! I just want to tell you lady,that you did a perfect job. I was so scared to even try to bead the brim of a hat till I found your tutorial. You put me at ease by saying it's handmade and not made by a machime. Nothing has to be perfect like that. Thank you!

    I started beading because I wanted to bead my graduation cap. I watched this video to help me. I go from to to bottom, I use a thick (I think for leather) triangle needle to puncture the hole than my beading needle doe through fine. I also use a thimble to push the fat needle through. Works great for me. Thank you so much for putting this out there so I could learn. Also what I have been doing lately is making my line a bid shorter so if it comes undone, only a small section does and to start a new line I puncture two holes in the open space (that will be covered up) and loop it through to finish the line, that means I only have to put one or two knots in the end because its nicely secured from being wrapped in the two holes. Again, thank you so much for putting this online to help those trying to learn.

    Oh my this is a very hard way to do it. I would make a pattern with the pencil directly on the edge of the hat and sew beads using that guide.
    I appreciate showing your way.❤

    In case this helps, I was taught to use a scrap piece of wood (or a nice flat stone) and to press the end of the glover needle (the eyelet part in case that’s not obvious) against the wood rather than my finger. It’s so much easier on your hands! 😊

    Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been recently watching tutorials on beading designs on hats all over TH-cam & yours is by far the best one yet! From supplies needed, to showing your paper design, down to your directions! I have a question…how do you sew designs on a circular hat? I just bought the Women’s Felt Floppy Hat - A new Day from Target and it doesn’t have a stitching guide and its not thick. It’s waves like a summer hat on the edges. How do you put your design on a felt hat design that’s not hard like a cap, and is thin like felt. Thank you! Looking forward to watching beadwork tutorial Tuesday’s!

    • @ninthhousemedia1351
      @ninthhousemedia1351 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe you could try sewing an edge of interfacing or some stronger felt along the edge first to make it stay flat, then bead over that? I think there's iron on interfacing too but sewing with a machine if you can would probably be the strongest.
