Place was awesome went in grade 6 camp and probs had the best sausage roll in my life there but one down side, I swear it was haunted. Me and and my friends in cabin 14 in the boys cabins stayed up all night ion the last night and we were out looking out the windows and turned around to see a mate who went to sleep and we swear we saw a figure in green looking at us on his bed. Was scary as hell
I was on cabin 14 too. That man myth is just a lie because me and my gurls stayed up all night. We didn't see anything or hear creepy stuff. All my classmates were talking about the man staring at the cabin windows but nothing apppeared. All our classmates were fine. It's just a myth. You might have seen something else BUT IT'S SO COOL HOW WE WERE IN THE SAME CABIN! The bed that I slept in was in the bunk bed on the top!!!
For anyone who may wonder if it's hot down at sovereign hill... It's not, I remember when I was younger visiting (and as I was a nerd for Aussie gold rush history) I dress in a formal black tuxedo (though at the time I didn't realise the people who lived during the Victorian times wore different colours to stand out as I had learned later in the day) and I was cool for the entire day didn't even sweat, so do not worry about the actors being uncomfortable anyways good day/night
I went here in 2015 for a school camp. To be honest the worst part wasn't actually the camp it was the 9 and a half hour drive from Adelaide all the way to Ballarat it was worth it. As we went to school there we had to have our hair in plaits so as it was an all girls school we were all doing our plaits in our rooms. No electronics were allowed in our room which was annoying as people took our iPads off charge. When we would go walking after "school" we would have to act like they would have in the olden days lots and lots of tourists took photos of me and my friends. I loved the fact that you could get so many different types of souvenirs. Check out BTN Eureka stockade and your will see the year before my class.
