Journée internationale du Vesak déclarée par l’Assemblée générale des Nations Unies, est célébrée à l'Unesco le 23 mai 2024 . C’est la naissance, l’illumination et la mort du Bouddha.
Vesak
C'est une des plus importantes festivités au Sri Lanka. Elle est célébrée le jour de la pleine lune. Les gens pratiquent des rites religieux et décorent les maisons et les rues avec des lumières et des lanternes fabriquées pour l'occasion.
Les trois grandes étapes de la célébration :
Vesak : la naissance
Bodhi : l’éveil
Parinirvana : la mort
Vesak est le plus souvent célébré à la pleine lune au mois de mai, selon les années et les pays. Il est traditionnellement célébré dans l’Asie de l’Est et l’Asie du Sud Est.

International Day of Vesak declared by the General Assembly of the United Nations, is celebrated at UNESCO on May 23, 2024. It is the birth, the enlightenment and the death of the Buddha.
Vesak
This is one of the largest celebrations in Sri Lanka. It is celebrated on the day of the full moon. People practice religious rites and decorate houses and streets with lights and lanterns manufactured for the occasion.
The three main stages of the celebration:
Vesak: The birth
Bodhi: The awakening
Parinirvana: The death
Vesak is usually celebrated on the full moon of May, depending years and countries. It is traditionally celebrated in the East Asia and South East Asia.

Ngày quốc tế Vesak do Đại hội đồng Liên Hợp Quốc tuyên bố, được tổ chức tại UNESCO vào ngày 23 tháng 5 năm 2024. Đó là sự sinh thành, giác ngộ và cái chết của Đức Phật.
