Noelle SIlva, one of the best girls in all of anime. Her development as a character is amazing, power is incredible, and to think she could not direct a ball of water in the beginning. Now she out her with her powerful spells and her own transformation that is probably as fast as black form asta. Probably my favorite character in the whole series.

I actually like her development not knowing how to control her magic in the beginning but now she’s able to do so much more kudos to her.

I do adore that Black Clover actually puts the effort in to make Noelle feel like a genuine peer to Asta and Yuno. Like, training match between any of those 3 could convincingly go in any direction, and that's just great character work. This show may be Shonen Comfort Food, but it's good at it.

That will change slowly with time, the newer shounens are learning.
See let me tell you something old Shonen anime made a mistake on alot of female characters. Shonen is for teenage males so they focused mainly on male characters. So thats why new Shonen females are better written because they learnt from old Shonen amime.

I'm just gonna say it, black clover has officially developed a cast that IN MY OPINION has developed better than the other "greats" before it. Where bleach might have had more of a challenge due to SO MUCH lore to focus on... black clover has succeeded in moving arcs at a fun pace... and still kept character quality in top form.
The women in this cast are all developed and cared about by the author, and its apparent. Black clover has a rough start... because of funding, but cmon. Animation aside this series is being made by a WRITER. (Yes you can see inspired bits by A LOT of anime, but even so he handles it all so well.)
I dunno if it beats it the nostalgia and favorites yet in terms of just pure "love" yet, but anyone trying to compare this anime to dbz, naruto, fairy tail, bleach, one piece- I think its been apparent which series has superior character development and which author takes criticism by fans constructively.
I just hope this series doesnt get overlooked like inuyasha... HYPE THIS SHOW TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW.
Alright, I can't speak for Naruto or Fairy Tail since I haven't seen all of it, hell, I also haven't caught up to One Piece (I'm pretty far in though so I feel I can say something about development). I think One Piece has better characters/development, but yeah, from what I've seen of Naruto Part 1, 13 episodes of Fairy Tail, and a good amount of DB, Black Clover does its characters really well comparatively.
Funny you name those Animes as its comparisons when this series "bones" come from Berserk with many references to it. Other than One Piece, I see no anime on that list with better developed characters and intact world building than Black Clover.
Funny how u picked all old Shonen anime made back in early 2000 and 1990s. Black clover and new Shonen learned from the old Shonen anime.
@@offyoshi6193 Yes, and my point is that it has done what they severely failed to do even in their most recent iterations. Sooner in the series, and at better quality overall.
@@thegrimminal9461 Naruto did well in part 1, it fell off in direction in part 2. (Because the studio forced him to keep the series going beyond where he imagined the stopping point to be.)
Fairy tail ended up with maybe 3 characters having any genuine development... and just..being nearly laughable as a series in the end.. which was sad.
And dbz just-- it is what it is.
As for bleach, it had great direction..just not consistent quality and that was sad.
But it seems like this author really saw the "greats" flaws and directly focuses on not repeating those mistakes. I think the only shounen trope is Asta not developing mentally as a MC. He's been basically the same character with the same goal since episode 1... and no real change to his approach or outlook. But i THINK that may change at the end of the series given the direction its been going.
