@@diosdadoapias a possible example of what this would be like is in this video here where joe lewis and bill wallace perform sparring very similar to modern mma sparring, at least in the striking part th-cam.com/video/FzdWSq9VnvU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QBjctCxMDsYhUfwq Chuck Norris is from another era so it's a very unfair comparison, he spent his entire career in the 60s, but if he had lived today he would probably have a very similar style to UFC fighter Stephen Wonderboy Thompson, an authentic representative of the karate
While chuck Norris was 7 times world champion. It is of different ways and rules. I wish he participated in the All japan karate Kumite. So he can apply those karate styles he uses in American or world tournament. That goes to other Americans who are called american fighters because they are always being seen fighting with even high kicks.
@@diosdadoapias my friend has a fact that helps to understand chuck norris' technical level easily and quickly, his students john natividad and david garcia fought against the english and belgian wuko teams during challenges promoted by elvis presley, this was before the division between itkf and wuko, that is, they were the best possible teams from these two countries, and amazingly the American team won both fights, this team didn't even have the Chuck Norris, who was retired from the championships at the time, but was arguably the best American karateka, nor Joe Lewis, who was focusing on full contact at the time, if both were on the team, it would be very difficult for any karate team at the time to beat them.
Who was the last guy Chuck was competing with here, the smaller guy in black? Was that Al Dacascos? I'm guessing that because I can't think of another kung fu guy (assuming by the shoes & all black outfit) who would've been competing in karate tournaments at that time. Anyway, thanks for sharing this footage.
Thanks for sharing 😊
Grandmaster Chuck Norris
