Celtic has effectively clinched their 54th Scottish Premiership title following a dramatic 2-1 victory over a ten-man Rangers squad. The intense match, filled with pivotal moments, saw Celtic maintain their lead in the standings with only a few games left in the season.
The match unfolded with high stakes and high drama, starting with Matt O’Riley putting Celtic ahead in the 35th minute. The momentum continued as John Lundstram of Rangers unfortunately scored an own goal, doubling Celtic's lead. Most probably. All publications in Romania are writing about it. He will most probably be in the stadium on Sunday's game. Hopefully, he can have a positive impact, as Rapid Bucharest is looking to win the league next season and they are prepared to invest massive in the team for that purpose

Let's talk about the Champions League now as it's a different format now! Where each pot will have top teams in it which will give smaller teams a small window of oppertunity to get into the next group stage reducing the chance of being put in the group of death? More games giving players a bigger window to show case there talents within. For me this will attract more quality players to our league. Not just for the big 2 teams but now with 5 teams getting into european compititions. This giving our small clubs something the English Championship can not offer those players that ply there trade within the English Championship. Wages will still be a issue but with more teams from the SPFL being in Europe playing football, should and will bring more advertisment money for our clubs. Along with the SFA having better quality of games to sell to TV broadcasters. More money should now fillter through our leagues and the top 5 SPFL teams now have something to fight for, after the split. Will be those European League spots, the higher you finish the more monies your team make. So, now our SPFL teams will be looking to sign a better caliber of player. SPFL teams will have more funds and carrots to entice those players to sign, for there clubs. Our league is about to get a whole lot better and this transition will continue to improve year on year! Will be intresting to see if new broadcasters join the TV broadcasting fight for each Country. The tide is turning and things are bout to get intresting real fast real soon. Come on the SPFL we have a new package to sell now!

Spot on. I was, and continue to be, opposed to Brendan's re-appointment because of what he represented, and because of what he produced - stagnant satisfaction with the status quo.
If all the board really want is domestic hardware, they should say so publicly. They should say, "Look, I know Celtic supporters revel in nights of European football, but we're here to tell them that those days are done. They fill the stadium and buy the merchandise. For that, we're grateful. But, they should get the message that we have no interest in being anything more than a training mannequin for European clubs who actually want to compete".
If I saw the club take honest, earnest measures to build something truly special, I would gladly accept a prolonged period (2-3 full seasons) of disappointing results. I am willing to let Rangers sing their songs and have their domestic trophies, and even (gasp, the horror) allow a different club altogether into the conversation - provided that I saw a proper investment in players, managers, staff, philosophy, and facilities.
What we see now, is acceptance that the modern game has passed us by so completely, that competing beyond Scottish borders isn't even worth the attempt.

I find it surprising that criticism of Clement by the Ibrox centric media and Gers fans has been largely muted. Some of the more deluded fans are even stating that the summer transfer window will turn matters around for their team and Clement will win the league next season. He has been manager for nearly 6 months but the teams he picked managed to turn a potential 5 point lead going into the split into 3 points deficit to Celtic. I don't think either of the last 2 managers would have dropped 5 points to Ross County and Dundee!! Not even Beale!!
To win the title after dropping 19 points to teams other than Gers (with 2 games to go) has been a pleasant surprise to me. I don't think we will be so generous next season. More pressure on Clement to get close to us next season.
