This project went through a couple variations, first it was just "record my cats eating and record whatever around" then it turned into filming specifically water spouts/objects that reminded me of that sound/water then that turned into take all the videos you collected for the water concept and switch it to a train of thought narrative. We skip the image of the cats eating and go straight to the thought of their chomps sounding like dripping water from a faucet, then post shower drips, then light rain, then looking at the garden outside of my house i think of when it's raining, but those buds looked like beans which ties us back to water and beans in a kureg, then oh my cat's are still eating.
I was thinking about roaming my house with the audio hinting at the opposite enviornment (cats eating, no cats, TV going but lights and everything are off, sounds of daytime summer but image is night etc) but I didn't have very good footage or audio for it and enjoyed the weird kinda gross audio this got me. Also it kinda becomes an ADHD focused narrative than just "day and night", I think it says more about me personally. I also threw out a lot of alternate cuts/compositions during this process and in me discovering what I really wanted this project to be. I wanted all of those brief shots to be mostly clear but also interesting to look at/a bit subversive. I think I liked how it turned out and I hope my Ideas came through in the end and gives the viewer an interesting experience at least, or that the audience has the same train of thought throughout the video as the images kinda hint at.
Also as for the title, concentration comes from a game I remember from middle school where you would pick a topic and list off as many things related to that subject on your turn with no repeats or hesistations. the "at least 20 seconds between" is my beat rule, only broken once by a couple seconds because the audio queue for the image was too good and needed to be there, but spitting out your answer a bit too soon was also part of the game.

This is so abstract and artistic! I love it!
