My ehiem is going strong, set it and forget it. No reason to mess with it.

I recently purchased one of these and no matter what I do, it’s always off 5-6 degrees. It also has moisture inside the top of the tube. If I decide to return it, should I bring it back to Petco?

Might be defective, I’d exchange it out where ever you bought it from

Note this heater will not work properly with a controller like an Inkbird. ( from Sicce support ) It has a feature that you cant not turn off that makes it cycle on and off every minute. So it effectually halves the power output if its a couple degrees from its set point. Def not the best heater.

Just bought one, mainly because it was the best fit wattage size for my tank, but now I have to put my hand AND MY PHONE in the tank to adjust or check the temperature. WTH

Once you calibrate it you can see the temp on the app. You shouldn’t have to mess with the temp after you set it. I agree probably not the best design..

I have/had two of the 400wt on my 400 gal total system temp would swing from 77 to 79. That’s to much of a swing for me.

I don't have one yet but I hated the way he was moving the phone around so much he didn't give it a chance

Definitely not for me. The idea of having to mess around so much with it,puts me clean off of it. I'll stick using inkbird✌️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Not the greatest heater…. INKBIRD all the way
I still use it for my 35 gallon mixing container and it takes forever to heat up.

I am planning to buy this heater, after watching this video, forget it. Stupid design. It is not touch-less, you have to use both hand to work on this heater. One hand on the phone and the other on the heater. It is worse than any other heaters in the market. I do not even want to use it if Sicce gives me for free.

...AND the minimum water level line is at the very top of the heater. SO I literally have to put my hand AND MY PHONE in the water to check or adjust the heater. ASAP I'll be switching this to the secondary tank heater. This thing is mid a best.
