When you use this heater Note that it only runs half the time when it more that a couple degrees from its set point. IE if you use an Inkbird / any controller and set this a bit higher it only heats at half its rated power. Watch the led it will cycle on and off every 60 seconds or so. Its a nice built heater, but a big design flaw. Sadly they didnt let us turn off this "feature" in the UI.
This is my 5th 200 watt aquarium heater I have tested. So far the eheim works great for me and is the easiest. All of them are in perfect working condition. I just ended using that one last in a review or project. Good luck on your travels.
I probably could have got a refund as well. But my job on this channel is to help my Veltveteer's get the best value. That includes me doing updates on items as they breakdown in the future. Also, I plan to do another tank build after the 60-gallon breeder and 40-gallon breeder aquarium are done. The extra equipment will find it ways to true potential. this thing sucks, I bought one from a local fish store (200w) and the thing cant get past 72 and i have it set for 82 on a 30gallon . killed my Angelfish
I am sorry to hear that. I was very upset when I lost my fish in an accidental crash. This has not been my primary heater. I mostly use it to heat my mixing station. I am using the Eheim heater at the moment. I will update as I set up my 60 Gallon Breeder. Good luck on your travels.
Garbage heater inconsistent, not a degree off more like 3 to 6 degrees over the amount that can be calibrated no live support from company this heater is a joke please buyers beware
I did a performance/cost review on this heater as well to be able to compare it to the other brands. I am putting that video up next week. This is not my main heater. I am using the new Eheim heater as first in line. Good luck on your travels.

I normally use the Eheim Jagers with Inkbird also. I make the mistake of trying something new. The good news is I am getting a refund on the Scubas.
