Awesome video guys. I just got access to a 1000 acres of Texas Hill country land and I invested in a Garmin Rino 750. Knowing the benefits of each map program helps me in getting my Garmin setup. Thanks again for the video breakdown.
I have a Garmin Montana 700 that will not except the OnX Chips is Garmin Huntview as good as the OnX for property lines or do I just get rid of the Montana700 ?
available overlays would depend on what map card you select. On cards with multiple map files you can enable and disable each individual map in the map settings
Will the onx hunt sd card, overlay over the birdseye imagey? I'm looking at the garmin 64 st which come with a yrs subscription for birdseye. If I get the onx sd card would it overlay over birdseye
Yes it comes pre-loaded with the entire state in standard resolution Birdseye. The only exception is large states like Texas, California, and Alaska where they have to break it up.
Would you be able to use the onx hunt map along with Birdseye satellite imagery on an alpha 100? I like the land owner detail of onx but would also like the satellite imagery as well.
booyah45828 I own and use the huntview chip for my drivetrack 70 which provides the satellite imagery along with property lines and owners however they are not upgradable so the info in the edition u purchase is only as good as that moments info (property changing hands)
Either is a good choice for Oregon. If I'm hunting private land and need to stay within a property boundary I'd prefer Onx. For most other situations I like having the satellite imagery Huntview provides because it helps with terrain association and helps highlight where an are has been logged or cover is really thick.
@@DoubleUHuntingSupply if you don't mind me asking so birds eye imagery would be the highest quality satellite imagery you can get on a Garmin handheld then? Also, of o had the chip in nut downloaded the birdseye to my gps for better resolution for a section area would it over lay with the chip in?
I got the. Hunt veiw. And. I can only zoom into. Like 60 foot and it gets bullary. My buther got. Birds eye and can. Zoom in to 20. And. It better pic any way i can fix it
Some of the States don't have onX map chips available, only the phone app. We're not sure why. Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Vermont. However, Maryland is available in the Huntview maps with Delaware, New Jersey and District of Columbia (DC)
Does the Huntview map include private lands open to sportsman? Each state has their own program where the Game and Fish Department pays landowners to open up their property to sportsmen. In North Dakota the program is called PLOTS; Private Lands Open To Sportsmen. Does the chip includes PLOTS Lands? Thank you!!
I am 59 . That has to be the most clear, informative review i have ever watched. The cam zoom was the best also. Excellent video.

Great video on the differences thank you
So will these cards work in a Garmin 64SX???
For the Hunt Plus chips, if i have a Garnin 300i and a Drivetrack, do i have to have a chip for each one?
that is correct. Each unit would require its own chip to view huntview plus mapping.

How do you over lay the maps on the alpha 100 or does it automatically do it ?

Hi do you know if garmin do one for UK garmin hunt with landowners names ect
You would need to check with your local Garmin dealer to see if they have a map for the UK market.
@@DoubleUHuntingSupply thank you I tried messaging garmin but not letting message them
Will all 3 work on the Garmin Oregon 600?

ONX for the win👍🏻👍🏻
Is the whole state birds eye, not like the on the GPS where you have to pick spots on the map
Yes it comes pre-loaded with the entire state in standard resolution Birdseye. The only exception is large states like Texas, California, and Alaska where they have to break it up.
Is this a buy it one time or do you have to renew it every year?
it is a one time purchase.
Is this through Garmin and do there discount codes work?
this is a one time purchase and will not require a subscription. We have them available at www.dusupply.com

Does the hunt view work in a Astro 320?
As long as you have updated the software it will work in an Astro 320
I live in Oregon and just got a garmin64s in a debate on what sd, onX or huntview.

For most other situations I like having the satellite imagery Huntview provides because it helps with terrain association and helps highlight where an are has been logged or cover is really thick.
so the hunt view card does come with birdseye already on it?
Yes in standard resolution already downloaded for the state you buy it for.
@@DoubleUHuntingSupply ok. I bought a Birdseye subscription too, can I put it on that card along with what's already on it
@@taylortrantham5622 You can add downloaded imagery to the internal storage on our device but not the card.

Huntview map chips come in standard resolution so it is possible he may have downloaded a file at higher resolution.
Hi I just checked on the ONX map one and there's nothing for my state: Maryland

For the states of OR/WA I've never found PLOTS information available with the Huntview or Huntview +
I thought you could have the terrain view on onx as well?
With the onX Hunt app for a smart phone or tablet terrain view is included in the membership. On the map card version it's not included.
How long will the HuntView last me with one purchase. Is it lifetime or is it a one year subscription?
The satellite imagery on the card never expires.
Onx does not work in 200i
correct
On X hunt chip will not work on drivetrack 71
It does if you turn of your 100K TOPO map preloaded on the Drivetrack, but it's not officially a compatible device for Onx.
people say "you know" too much these days..
