I was in high school the next town over at the time Guy Fieri has his car stolen, my friend went to the same high school as him. The kid was notorious at the time. I remember the story a bit differently I heard he ziplined accross from another building and broke into his personal garage from a skylight, but you know how high school rumors are
Back when I was in college my 96 Saleen 351 was stolen, they ran from the cop and hit a gas main by a local middle school, literally had evacuate the school.. also totaled the vehicle. I miss that hand full of a mustang.
Found a key to a f150 right beside the truck. Thought about it hard didn't know where to take it so gave the key to a homie. Shit was baited, he caught a GTA :$$$
True story...im helping my buddy Marcos swap his new M50-Stroker into his E34 at a friend's wrap shop (after hours). The shop was located in Deerfield Beach FL, and about 2:30am-3ish Marcos asked me to go to the lot where our cars were parked and get the feeler gauge. His daily at the time was a 1985 Golf Diesel MK2 that was more a rolling roach coach & rust mobile rather then a working car....the interior was ALWAYS a mess in thar car (literally it was so bad only the driver could sit in ..and u didn't want to be the driver). After 2mins of searching in the car I find the gauge way too fast....something seemed off. Somebody apparently tried both my door and his, Marcos MK2 being the only 1 open he started rooting around and bagging the trash in bags that were in the MK2....until (I can only assume) the theif thought "why TF am I cleaning some random dudes shitbox!?! There ain't shit in here!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Somebody kinda cleaned his MK2 and organized it 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Another fun episode~ cheers guys Here’s a short story about a failed car heist in my hometown: There’s a car club here, and mostly you see simple non expensive cars with very few mods, but it’s still cool. But there was this car person that had a 2016 white charger, and it may sound like nothing to others but where I live was a big deal, anyhow, this person had other stuff in their garage, specifically a 77 trans am firebird, and one of the guys at the meeting attempted to steal it, but backed out because when he broke into their garage, he saw they owned a black Matte truck with tinted windows, and the thing was bulletproof, it had like armor plating and things like that, so this guy backs out. And I don’t know how, but he got arrested anyways for breaking in, either he told someone and they went to the authorities or somehow the owner found out it was him. It was dumb and I’m glad it didn’t happen. The thing here is the truck, because I’ve seen it just once, it was 4am and I was driving around with a friend and we saw it parked at a gas station, and it left us wondering what kind of shady thing was going on behind the scenes, mostly because it was extremely rare for someone our age, especially from where we are from to own such vehicles, people speculate it’s drug trafficking or something, but we'll never know probably.
Had an 88 Toyota pickup stolen. Got double screwed on that as they stole the engine and trans, lit it on fire and ditched it on the side of the road for the police to tow. Then I was on the hook for the towing as well.
Man listening to these stories makes me glad my car ain't worth stealing. Still hasn't stopped my $400 60 year old tailgate glass 3 different times even though my car has no door locks, no ignition key, and nothing valuable
The lotus carlton story was just a single example of what was actually a 3-4 Year national epidemic over here.. ram raids were born out of the early 90s joyriding craze and happened every other night in British cities.. the most commonly used car was the Sierra cosworth and the targets usually electrical, jewellery or clothing stores..
My 4 wheeler was stolen out of my garage. I always shut the gas off so they didn’t make it very far. The police found it and stored it. I paid $580 to the police for storage fees. I didn’t feel robbed till that moment.
You guys should do an episode about the Tucker 48. If was the first car to be designed in a wind tunnel, and pioneered many of the technologies that cars today a just barely starting to use. Such as headlights that turn with the steering wheel. It's awesome.
Can you imagine being the owner of that Carlton and seeing it on the news every night as some thieves were smashing about in it? It must be heart breaking. I'd lose my shit and dawn an outfit with a cape and go seek them out.
Duuuval born n raised lol 😆 904 for life ya bish. We've got a great TGI Fridays don't cha know, Jacksonville's got deep chain restaurant game for real. Don't go fillin up on bread now ya here?
Lol my Nissan Sentra was stolen the other day, he didn't even make it a mile before the motor mount shat itself and he ditched it. Moral of the story I got a free tow
You guys mention Mark Martin every Valvoline ad... really need a past gas or up to speed or both on him soon! He’s a very interesting and underrated dude..#winkwink
I absolutely love you guys and all your content, but you gotta do something about the audio for the donut podcast videos. Theres such a huge difference in the volume on all 3 of you, while I'm listening and driving I can either turn it up high so I can hear all of you, but when nolan speaks it nearly blows my ear drums out; or I can keep nolan at a reasonable volume, but then cant hear a word James says. I just want to be able to enjoy all your content on my drives home from work
I feel like if the Walker family had just gone on TV and showed a picture of this dude and gave out his real name that all of the Paul fans would have handled this guy and returned all the cars untouched. That would have made for a much better ending!! I completely understand why they couldn't have done that tho
If I stole 18 million I'd get a paramotor and fly over the border. I can fly low enough for planes to not be able to get me but high enough to go over trees so cars can't get me and it's small enough to dip and hide somewhere after breaking line of sight and easy enough to take back off if they start getting close
Ramraiders didn't just steal booze and cigs, they would take cash but remember anything they stole had to fit in the car! What's easiest to sell on for a few bucks.....booze and cigs. You couldn't steal tv's back then even if you had a van you would only fit like 5 in remember big tv's back in the day it took 2 guys to lift some of them lmao. Plus mostly it was about joyriding you had to torch the car at some point so may aswell get some booze before you do. Cars were stolen all the time in the 80s and 90s Ford's from back then had a safety feature that unlocked the doors after an accident. It didn't know the difference between running and being parked though so if you kicked the front bumper hard enough the car would open then they just had to hotwire it and bingo you had cosworth the cops couldn't get near
Nolan why does it sound your SM7B is turned off and you're using a room mic? :(
unfortunate computer crash during the shoot :/
Day 55 of asking James to do an uptospeed on Top Gear
The OG UK Top Gear (Clarkson, Hammond and May) [The Grand Tour]
@@aqil2199
OG Top Gear goes back to 1977 bud. I would probably think there's too much info on it haha.
It seems they make only one episode of Up to Speed per month :D
DONUT YOU NEED TO MAKE AN "UP TO SPEED" ON "TOP GEAR" !!!!!!!!!
Nah im good
past gas is my favorite podcasts to listen to while i work on cars, just learning new things with enjoyable comedy is a gold
Same I listen to it at work all the time
Do an Up To Speed on Smokey Nagata, The GodFather of Speed
I was in high school the next town over at the time Guy Fieri has his car stolen, my friend went to the same high school as him. The kid was notorious at the time. I remember the story a bit differently I heard he ziplined accross from another building and broke into his personal garage from a skylight, but you know how high school rumors are
I love Sundays !! What about an episode of the most exacting races ever like photo finish and drama races !!
Back when I was in college my 96 Saleen 351 was stolen, they ran from the cop and hit a gas main by a local middle school, literally had evacuate the school.. also totaled the vehicle. I miss that hand full of a mustang.
Stealing a car is something everyone has thought about, but only the real dummies actually try.
@LeMao ZeBron armor truck better just needs a hole to the driver seat zombies can't break in
I've stolen cars not proud of it. Stupid ppl think there are two wires under the dash you can spark and hot wire it lol
Found a key to a f150 right beside the truck. Thought about it hard didn't know where to take it so gave the key to a homie. Shit was baited, he caught a GTA :$$$
My man, James is using a pickle jar for a glass.. That remark about "pay people more" makes sense now..
This show is great
That's a hipster thing.
It's not a hipster thing shit I'm far from a hipster and I use jars for water. It's just a vessel chill.
@@danegalang6224 "it's just a vessel chill" 😂😂 I love that
I think Nolan forgot to record his audio properly so they've had to use his Zoom audio. Rough.
"Oh it's 30 dollars" look at goddamn monopoly man over here!
Another great podcast, you keep my Sunday’s entertaining and one more day of a topic I can never get enough of.
True story...im helping my buddy Marcos swap his new M50-Stroker into his E34 at a friend's wrap shop (after hours). I love the Dave Pesko reference by Nolan, "Yuuuuup!"
"Look, meth"
Could end the sentence right there Nolan
Day 164 of asking for the team to design a Dirty Dirk's Blinker Drink T-shirt from the Wheelhouse: Car Terms Every Car Nerd Needs To Know

That F50 story is the one and only time I’ll feel bad for an insurance company
Ay just graduated high school yesterday thanks being awesome everyone ! 🎓🎓🎓
My 4 wheeler was stolen out of my garage. I always shut the gas off so they didn’t make it very far. The police found it and stored it. I paid $580 to the police for storage fees. I didn’t feel robbed till that moment.
Megadeth also wrote a song about the 1995 San Diego Tank Rampage as well titled "The Right To Go Insane"
You guys should do an episode about the Tucker 48. If was the first car to be designed in a wind tunnel, and pioneered many of the technologies that cars today a just barely starting to use. Such as headlights that turn with the steering wheel. It's awesome.
It's about cars not about farts loved the opening song
Who would win in a fight, stolen tank man or Killdozer?
Killdozer for sure
I like how everyone is complaining about something you can skip
Bone update????
Day 175 of asking James to do an uptospeed on himself
A truck with 20 tons of Nutella and Kinder Eggs was stolen in Germany 4 years ago. I don’t think they ever solved the case.
Mad lads reference is on point
I don't like podcasts but PastGas is on a whole different level
UK police didn't have Fiat Pandas! They had Rover Metros! I don't think we've ever had Fiat Pandas.
Armandos Moved it did not close down, if he talking about the one near Monterey Park, They moved a few blocks down from Rosemead Near El Monte
The advertisement music lives in my head rent free.
My gf’s family had an old bronco that got stolen out of their driveway right before they were about to go to school
The bone, joe! What happened with the bone?
Can you imagine being the owner of that Carlton and seeing it on the news every night as some thieves were smashing about in it? It must be heart breaking. I'd lose my shit and dawn an outfit with a cape and go seek them out.
The ad for Sunday should actually be a Manscaped ad.
#GrowYourLawn
What's funny is I actually went off the road this morning before listing to this.
I know ya'll are about those cars pop up headlights, but what about phones with pop up cameras? "Pop up up and down camerasssss"
Ah the lotus carlton, i wish lotus did a new version of that car since britain doesn`t have a direct bmw/audi competitor, literally my dream car.
Jag xfr
Mic levels!!! Other than that, spot on again!
I learned about sodium poisoning from Donut Media. #themoreyouknow
The ram raid lotus still exists...well there a couple reported to be "the" one anyway
I’ve gotten my 1990s Toyota truck stolen 3 times, but unlike Jeremiad truck I still have it
Fast 10 Dom and the gang stealing truck loads of ramen.
Did someone replace Nolan’s microphone with a tin can?
Bro I used to package Sunday grass seed in a ware house in Halsey Oregon 🤣
Aw RIP Trevor Moore, amazing story lol
It is so like a 16 yr old to be like “ ima steal a Lamborghini” then what? “I’ma drive it duh”😂😂😂😂
Nolan was the Armondos Mexican restaurant in Ontario California? Because if so my family owned that restaurant.
The lotus Carlton is a commodore
Duuuval born n raised lol 😆 904 for life ya bish. We've got a great TGI Fridays don't cha know, Jacksonville's got deep chain restaurant game for real. Don't go fillin up on bread now ya here?

Im from England, everywhere is 3 hours from London.
History of cars in movies!
I've had my Integra stolen on Christmas day. I just got off my shift to find out my car was stolen. Hate car thieves
the lotus carlton outran a helicopter apparently, no wonder police here started using tuned subaru impreza wrxs as interceptor cars
Lol my Nissan Sentra was stolen the other day, he didn't even make it a mile before the motor mount shat itself and he ditched it. Moral of the story I got a free tow
*Nolan in 50 years* y'know, I actually had my bike stolen once. I was a child and I had left if in my front yard...
Dudes, EVERYTHING in England is 3 hours from Londonm
I saw the tank chase live as a kid. I didn’t know the veterans story. So tragic :-(
Can I send Nolan those pads that dampen sound so his audio sounds better
Hold up, what do you have against Jacksonville, James?!?!
You guys mention Mark Martin every Valvoline ad... really need a past gas or up to speed or both on him soon! He’s a very interesting and underrated dude..#winkwink
bummed about the unplugged mic there Nolan.
Nolan can have a great grandpa name... Papa NoNo lol...
The fucking police academy reboot! Lmao
Is there a podcast to go with ALL of these commercials?!
All time dream car 😍😍😍 lotus Charlton
I love your videos
I just stolen a Toyota prius by the way
This video has the most amount of ads i've ever seen. Always worth tuning in though

camera moved, cant tell if that yoga mat has moved yet. ha
Just bought a motorcycle for my 21st birthday and it was stolen 2 weeks later. But it's ok I bought a cooler one 2 days ago
Why is Danny devito not the gate guard?
If I stole 18 million I'd get a paramotor and fly over the border. Sounds like Nolan's in the bathroom?
What's the deal?
Can you do one podcast on Chrysler turbine car?????🥺
Anyone else hear the word 'Lotus' and immediately know 'ah they're gonna talk about 49 RA then'
Y'all have never lived in the hood I could sell that whole load of noodles basically the same day they were stolen
James can act. I seen him do it. He was good. Not amazing but pretty good. Yeah. James can act.
Sounds like Nolan had the wrong mic recording
R.i.p trevor moore
What happened to Nolan's mic?
Skirt skirt skirt? Are you attempting a mouth slalom or mouth drifting.
