Yeah it's a pretty crucial card, which is a flaw in the game. But there are other ways (Burst / Bouncing Flask; etc.). Jorbs recently had a TH-cam video where he broke the poison counter with Nightmare/Adrenaline/Catalyst nonsense. The poison counter got so high it broke and went to zero. Almost lost the heart fight as a result.
i have no idea because its either my first poison card so I don't take it (and never to be seen again) OR I don't even get the option to take it when I play poison
I mean my myself I find it rarely necessary to have one. Usually you either have enough poison to kill or you don't have enough to utilise it properly. But is it fun to watch numbers go up? Oh yassss
I dunno if it’s just me but something about poison stacking + a bit of Dex makes these types of silent builds the single most satisfying thing you can do in Slay the Spire
I believe it only removes negative strength. It doesn’t actually remove vuln or weak or any other debuffs it just removes negative strength to get the next multi attack back into the positive and adds artifact to block the first 2 instances of new status effects
Watching this I realised I'm a freakin' idiot: I got the tomb of lord red mask event during my minimalist run yesterday while I had the red mask for the first time ever, and I thought I had to give up the red mask to get the gold, so I decided against it even though I had one more shop I could go to. Thankfully I managed the achievement anyway thanks to a clutch old coin which let me pick up a relic from the store but I could have bought both the relics I had my eye on!
Did you know you would have killed the hearth with just catalyst + the 4 poison of your relics ? 4 * 3^5 = 972, of course, you have to play at least 1 catalyst turn one because 3 * 3^5 = 729 but only one is mandatory, the hearth got 12 poison, then 11 * 3^4 = 891. You could also play your second catalyst in turn 3, because 10 * 3^4 = 810. So don't take poison cards next time, juts 5 catalyst + and that relic
I wish I knew how to play the silent when I don't get good poison options. Been playing the game for aboht three days in an effort to quit playing mtga lol, shocked at how fun it is and also how hard it is.
Silent really really hurts for damage in act 1, esp on A20. The real pick on floor 1 there was sneaky strike. That was the safest play. Catalyst was a gamble. A fun gamble, one that payed off with a cool run.
@@Reaperrr968 those can make the game better adding things there's a mod that has a new character an entire expansion allowing you to play the bad guys killing the good guys as bosses their mods that make the game harder by making it pass 20 in Ascension don't diss the mods those actually can make the game better

a same person wouldve taken sneaky strike, noxious fumes, well-laid plans and bane with 30 hp against Lagavulin with ghost in a jar. with his draw order then yes. he was able to block all attacks and didn't need to use his potion and a rest was close after

Necessary? No. Fun? Absolutely.

It's great, but poison builds can work without it.

I thought you were wasting your catalysts on the debuff remove turn and then I found out Heart doesn't remove posion.

had a run like this 2 days ago, stacked 16k+ on the heart
And to think this run could've had three Tactician, 2 Sneaky Strike, and a runic dome.

You can go for after image shiv builds. Or discard sneaky strike tactician builds. Or get lucky with ninja relics and go full shiv spam
