I have sailed aboard this extraordinary boat and can attest to her comfort and performance. The salon ceiling is 7-8 feet. She is a powerful sailor, easy to handle.
I’m jealous! I’ve never been aboard a motor-sailor, and I think they are the ultimate vessel. It’s a lot of rigging, PLUS a serious diesel to maintain and become intimately knowledgeable of! But… I am retired - and still looking for adventure! Cheers!
Would love to know when you sailed on this boat and any sea tales you can remember about her! But that should be at the prerogative of the current owners before anyone else, so I don't expect an answer from you.
It was good to see Curt and what an amazing vessel. This is pretty much my dream vessel if I had the funds I would not hesitate to buy her. So well laid out and so well taken care of from what we could see. Just outstanding, I really love Cheoy Lee motor sailors...
This is it. My favorite boat of all you have shown. Much better than any apartment I’ve ever lived in. Wow. And the condition…amazing. My very best commendations to the current owners for taking such care of her.
Best tour I’ve watched in awhile the speed he went at was perfect along with the walk through and then was edited perfectly. Stoked to subscribe and watch more
Um,... 38 years old. You made me feel younger for a moment with your "nearly 30" comment. Then it hit me that my son is also a 1983 model, and he's 38. It felt good to be younger for a few moments. Thanks.
I used to be a sheriff's explorer and this video is about what we would produce on a video walk through of a crime scene. Exactly what it reminds me of. Just cut and dry facts. Not saying it's bad, just very thorough and stately.
Your vudeographer did a great job maintaining the calm, thorough description of the boat maintaining your look and feel trademark style. Well done. What a fabulous boat ! Love it.
I love having the security and dependability of twin engines on a sailboat. I love being able to sail and use the wind to power a motorboat. This Chevy Lee is perfect..
For a monohull thats quite a home and seems eminently suited to a life on the ocean wave, positively tardis like below.... beautiful condition as well.⛵😎 Compliments to the tour guide and camera man.👍🏻🍷
Great colab vid, guys! Sweet boat! Nice work, Kirk. I think this should be the Sailing Soulianis Great Lakes boat. (Plenty of room for the growing fam.)
What s gorgeous boat. You could live comfortably with your family with at least 3 children. Everything is like new and not 30 years old. But that's what you pay for I guess. Lot's of love from the Netherlands, Daniëlle 🙋
What a nice family cruiser. 9 comfortably but 4 to 6 in such roomy comfort! Redundancy throughout and multiple protected or semi protected areas on deck for passages. Huge tender and room to store toys galore.
Oh my god, this is the one, I would choose, it is absolutely perfect, well made and well finished, the wood interior is just perfect. Can not fault this boat whatsoever, normally there is something we all don't like, because no boat is perfect. But you know what, this one is. Even the stairs coming into the salon, are so spacious, everything so easy on your eyes. You can see that you would feel really safe in big seas. This is like a small ship. I need to find a youtube channel with the owners of one of these beauties. Kurt did a brilliant job, on a par with your filming easily. This boat gets a rating of 120 out of 100. in my book. I think the price is too cheap. Wish I had the funds. It would be sold.
When in college my family had a Cheoy Lee Clipper 42 ketch, we would spent the summers cruising the Bahamas…..Cheoy Lee makes a solid great boat……..if I didn’t already own a Grand Banks I would be interested in this boat………I subbed and gave you a like…….great video of a classic boat……..
I could call that Home !! Very nice layout, looks like it can be sailed single handedly which is what I would want. The price is way less than what I thought it would be. If I had the money, I would buy that in a heartbeat !!
I really liked this boat! I probably would have bought it if Kirk had just showed me the anchor locker from the forward stateroom! This would be the natural upgrade boat for me from my Catalina 24. ;) Full disclosure - I am not going to be able to afford either of these beautiful Cheoy Lees in this lifetime! When younger, none of the Cheoy Lees I saw in the '80s were what I would call top quality boats, or at least as I see them now. Of course I wasn't looking at any this big! But it is sure nice to imagine me sailing one of these and having room to take friends and family sailing with me. I don't really have either, but if I had this boat, I would soon have more than I could imagine of both! Please feel free to continue teasing me with that unreachable carrot. Tell Kirk he did a great job for you. If you run across any Macgregor 65s, I would be interested in seeing what they look like in a video.
@@milasgardenessentialoils6210 it's nearly three quarters of a million dollars. What's affordable to you, may not be to another. It's dependent upon someone's means. It seems Karen is well aware of the value, but simply stated, she can't pay for it. Hence she can't bear the cost. I can't afford it either. I'm glad you have the means to pay for it and find it affordable. That's great! Fair winds and following seas to you.
I am old enough to recall seeing the Cheoy Lee motor sailors when they were new on the boat show circuits. They were, and still are very nice, very solidly built boats. I would be all over this one if I had the money. A solid, quality build never goes out of style. This one appears to be well maintained but even one that hasn't been well maintained is worth putting the money into for a solid refit and there aren't a lot of older GRP boats you can say that about. These have a timeless design and a solid build quality. You would be hard pressed to find that in a new boat. Even if you had to put significant money into one, you would have something really special when it was done. This one appears to be pretty much ready to go at a fraction of the cost of a new boat. Like I said, if I had the money, I would be all over this one. I would have been on the phone to surveyors before the end of the video.
The last boat you reviewed was quite a let down. This one is at the opposite end of the spectrum. The layout and space is just fantastic. As a few mentioned in their comments, maintenance cost must be quite high and it would be interesting to know what the current owner is spending yearly to keep her up in such a great condition.
I love it when you can WALK into the engine ROOM, rather than lifting some floor hatches to access the engine. Also I notice a small door in the one shower that opens into the engine room where they have a fan - I guess to get some good airflow through that engine room.
Nice boat, thanks Kirk, nice to see you in a different role for a change! Maybe you are getting ideas for when Soulianis is too small when babies 2 and 3 appear!
I think you are on to something having a “Guest TH-cam Host” to increase your range and scope! You plug their channel and they expose you to additional subscribers 🤩 Kirk, great job and beautiful baby😎
Like the Lume ad! I will buy! Cleanliness is next to godliness, and it can't be bad for romance! It could even suggest some certain old Napoleonic codes obsolete!
A piece of art work really. Beautiful presentation to engines reasonable size motor room two generators beautiful accommodation, nice saloon man could not ask for much more
Wow! Just Wow!!! I could have raised all my kids on a vessel like that! Love the floorplan and layout. But anything yellow means $$ at the diesel pump. Yikes!
Not a big fan of in-mast furling, but other than that this is an excellent boat for a small charter operation, educational/research expeditions (though not really set up for remote, high-latitude passages) or even for a big family to live aboard part of the year. I'd take this over most anything newer except maybe an Amel 55 ketch. Great tour of a polished gem.
Obviously 63' is huge, but this feels like a 100 footer. Extraordinary quality and design. Overbuilt to the maximum and built to last until the end of time. Ketch rigging is the right call for this type of ship. Obviously never in my price range, but 695k is incredibly reasonable, especially as a very livable yacht.
That, as they say, is something else. I'm practically speechless. I couldn't believe it when you went into the engine ROOM. A truly outstanding boat.
I can't believe you get a boat with this nice apartment.
Apartment? This is more like a Condo.

It is nearly thirty years old, yet the design is still excellent. I would prefer this boat to most modern 60 foot sailboats. Nice!
She is a beauty live aboard, world ability definately.
